new bayonetta 2 footage (it's almost finished!)

This is very up to date footage, and it shows the big differences from bayo 1. The game actually has a biiit of a cel shaded look with more vibrant colors, likely to hide the graphical limitations of Wii U more and to keep frame rates as high as possible, w/ no tearing instead of going crazy with detail and having dips. But it does have better textures and shaders as well.

Lighting is a big step up, definitely giving it more visual depth. The animation.. is god tier. 3x as much frame's to the animations from the first, which will make the combat sooo smooth. Bayonetta's animation is probably the best i've seen on any character.

The european inspired environments look fantastic too. My only complaint is it could use some/more AA/AF, but that's the price of that 60fps goodness.

So, will you be getting this masterpiece in october? I'm going media blackout now :] If this and the bundled first game are the only games i pick up this year, I won't complain.

This is shaping up to be my personal GOTY. So so so happy this even exists. Hopefully it sells moderately well so we could see more Bayonetta in the future. Nintendo seems to actually care so hopefully it doesn't sell too bad.

This game looks so good. Its one of the few games that I will shamelessly preorder just so that it gets noted as a sale. Between this and Captain Toad I'm gonna be busy this holiday season.

This game was one of the major deciding factors in my decision to buy a Wii U.

I sincerely hope this sells well. Its success can potentially attract more devs.

It was a live event, maybe they didn't record off-line and used the streamed version.

That's probably it. The people and stage looked low res, which carried over to the Bayonetta 2 footage. I've seen crisper videos for B2. I'm definitely getting it, too. It looks fun and having the original, which I never played, packed in only sweetens the deal.

I've been on media blackout for this game for awhile now since I know Platinum Games likes to make their games crazy, and I want to be surprised the whole way xD

Yeah, but they've been really careful not to spoil *anything* anyway. But the only reason I waited 'till now was because the only lengthy footage they've shown was the same stuff from way back at e3 2013, until now. Now that i know what the final game looks like i'm satisfied :)

I'm unsure if I should get this.. Platinum Games does make good games, but their games tend to get boring after a short while. And this looks so over the top and weird. That can be a good thing, but it isn't always. I will at least have my eyes on it, and check out some reviews before deciding.

@CTR360: Too bad that the sequel won't be on your Xbox 360 since Microsoft (and Sony) have dropped the ball on funding Bayonetta 2. When I get the Bayonetta 2 collection for my Wii U this October, I'll be playing the the enhanced port of the X360 original. 60 frames per second and in HD (Only on Wii U), and free Nintendo themed costumes DLC. And after I completed the original, I'll be playing Bayonetta 2 with more action, suspense, and sexiness by the Umbra Witch.

first i dont get out second bayonetta 2 its easy ported on ps3 and xbox 360 dont care for customs and frame rates are better and DLC on wii u and third xbox 360 and ps3 have better action slash games ninja gaiden 2 and god of war 3 are better deeper and more hardcore of your curent gen port game
