people say this is just going to be generic but anytime I see pics or hear an interview with developers I can't help but think this game is really going to shine
One thing that does concern me is that this developer isn't exactly... you know... good.Tikicobra
they have actually spoken about that in interviews and it looks like that even they realized that about their previous games and that they wanted at least one great game to either go out on or redeme their company
This game confuses me. Some textures look absolutely amazing while others look they are taken from an N64 game.Rocky32189Yeah I know what you mean! A lot of the stuff (mostly the background) still look like crap...
What is it with all the "OMG The Conduit is the most generic game ever" threads?? How can it be generic? It's a Wii FPS and since there are only something like 5 of them it can hardly be generic, if it was an xbox game then yes it would be generic because that system happens to be inundated with them but even if you took every FPS'er from every Nintendo system ever The Conduit still wouldn't be generic because there are so few titles in the aforementioned genre on their consoles.it sadens me that this game looks extremely generic

While it may have the graphics, I sure do hope it will have the gameplay and level design to pull it an AAA
Well it looks good and controls good, now if we can just confirm the same for the level design, pacing and other game mechanics we'll be all set.
I have to say the effects and graphics look great but the environments look really bland and boring. they need to fix that.
Well have fun looking because you won't get to look at him much in first person :Pi like fords new look! :D
the games looking awesome

Splendid...just splendid. Eye candy FPS on The Wii is what I like to play and unforunately such games are few and far between.
I hope you wishy washy core Wiiowners support this title (boy you are all unpredictable I see why there are a lack of core games on the Wii).
This game does look great but the environments still look quite bland. I doubt you'll notice when you're actually playing the game though. Is it me, or do all the aliens look like they're covered in some sort of grease in this game? :P Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it :D
That top pick does that gun have a motion sensing radar on it ala Aliens?
With regards to different locations look at the videos of the game and you can spot loads.
I've spotted many areas in the game, I am sure at one point you are in an airport or at least you can see a light blue topped jumbo jet sitting out of the Window.
There's several underground areas that in some cases are flodded.
The out doors area by the water and the bit by the bridge.
The Oval office.
Kinda random, but do we know if this game will have individual missions or one flowing storyline without level breaks?

Hopefully he'll be a playable character in online multiplayer, as well as various Drudge warriors of different colors.
Anybody notice that the people calling it generic all sound the same? I'd go as far as saying that their comments are... generic :Ptommy--F
I said that in the last thread static it's supposed to be generic. So stop, because the last thing we need is for that response to become the generic response to the generic posts on the "generic" visuals!

GENERIC!

HD games have this problem too. Alot of games have pop in textures thats why, the screenshot may have been taking while the textures were fading in. Even games like Gears 2 when you first start the game if you take a screenshot it would look a mess because it takes a second for all the textures to fade in, even on the characters. I like from the IGN story article how they said the story would be told like Cloverfield. I think a good comparison from a game standpoint would be COD, the big in game set pieces instead of cinema scenes. In some games, mainly FPS, that works really well.[QUOTE="Rocky32189"]This game confuses me. Some textures look absolutely amazing while others look they are taken from an N64 game.loco145
Well Metroid Prime is much more artistic, atmosphere is a big part of the game since you are suppose to move about that world. In this its a FPS, your worried more about visuals of enemies and whats directly in front of you, like the guns and effects. I can understand giving the Wii's limited capabilities choosing the character models and weapons over the environments. But anyway the game looks even better in motion than it does in screenshots. It should be a great game. I still think Metroid Prime 3 looks better though.

How, it is just a slight upgrade from the gamecube games.
The Conduit looks like a 360 game, so:
Conduit >>>>> Metroid Corruption
I take it you've never actually seen a 360 game before?The Conduit looks like a 360 game

this is by far the best enemy screen I've seen from the game so far. I think this game will great when playing. Like a few have mentioned before....480p games always, and will always look alot worse while in "still form" compared to "motion".
The character models in this game blow anything that MP3 did out of the water. I agree though, the enviroments are no where near what MP3 did when it comes to that. I still think this game is going to rock though.

that picture is a good example of the 360 like graphics this game still has alot of pollish to go till release. but it has alot of promise graphics aside the game plays is going to be awsomethis is by far the best enemy screen I've seen from the game so far. Metroid has arguably better character models, but that's due to the artistic direction of the series. Conduit's character models look much better than they actually are because of the extensive use of normal mapping.

I own Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2:Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3:Corruption. I have seen them all on my HDTV with component cables. I have seen up close looks at the characters/enemies models(which you can do in the logbook area). I have seen the effects/bump-mapping(it's there)/HDR lighting/ect,. Don't tell me MP3 is a slight upgrade from the GC Primes. It's not. There are significant upgrades mainly in the lighting/architecture/color. I have seen all the pics and videos of The Conduit and Metroid Prime 3 looks BETTER.Please Log In to post.
