For those that missed my thread on the game a while back:
EDIT:
IGN has translated the famitsu articleÂ
Crystal Bearers' lead starts off the game as a heroic figure. The main concept of the game is to let players experience a storyline featuring a great hero. Itahana later expanded upon this by noting that rather than being a story about growth, the game will show how the hero does things in certain situations.
Some elements of the storyline were touched upon in the trailer that was shown at the Square Enix Party. Like other Crystal Chronicles games, Crystal Bearers takes place in a world that's populated by four races. The story begins when an airship gets into an accident of some form. The main character comes to save the day and then heads off to find out the who and the why behind the accident.
The Square Enix Party video clip, as previously noted, was real-time footage edited into a trailer form. Awazu also confirmed that the company had originally hoped to feature a playable demo at the show.
Moving on, the director and producer shared a few precious details on the game's control scheme. The game will make use of both the Wii-mote and nunchuk. However, as Itahana noted, the development team is attempting to keep the controls simple. While not providing too many specifics, Itahana suggested that the control scheme might alter slightly based on the current situation. He also noted that the controls are now being fine tuned to make it easy to perform attacks while moving.
On the topic of the battle system, Awazu mentioned that characters will make use of the "abilities" that they have in order to fight. You'll also be able to make use of standard weapons.
Crystals will come into play as well. One scene in the trailer showed an energy force of some form emerging from the main character's hand; this has something to do with crystals.
All the basic elements of a Final Fantasy game will make it into Crystal Bearers, Awazu confirmed, giving specific mention to air ships, chocobos, magic and monsters. He also provided a hint that you might be able to control airships on your own.First Picture courtesy of Famitsu
1up.com has an in-depth interview up, on Wii and DS Square support, I suggest reading the source article as there is lots there.
The good news is that the Crystal Bearers is single player focused while Ring of Fates DS is multiplayer focused. Plus stylus enabled moogle painting is back in Ring of Fates.
Quotes incoming below.
1UP: What's the direction you have for the title? It seems more like a real adventure game.
TI: With Crystal Bearers, there's a much more action-oriented take on the Final Fantasy series. The key difference between the original Crystal Chronicles and also Ring of Fates, is that that kind of continues on the tradition of multiplayer cooperation and working together to further the adventure, whereas Crystal Bearers concentrates more on solo play and action.
Mitsuru Kamiyama: we have learned lessons from the past, and the whole crafting feature is still in the game. Now we've made it an in-depth feature where not only are there many items to craft, but they look very different, you'll visually see the difference in the armor and jewelry in dressing your characters in various armor and such. And there is crossover between single and multiplayer.
1UP: For Itahana, Crystal Bearers seems almost like Skies of Arcadia meets the Little Prince, thanks to the hero's appearance and the high-flying air battles.

Awesome stuff!
Now perhaps people who were complaining about it being single player will stop whining. We wouldn't have got a game like this if it was another multiplayer-centric game.
I like the fact that flying seems to play quite a big role in this game, really cool stuff. And Skies of Arcadia being my favortie game, I'm quite excited at the similarities. Definitly looking forward to it.
On that site, I saw the video and it looked amazing, theni scrolled down to look at the video from 3 days before, and it looked like the old crystal chronicles. which one will the game look like? Were those all cutscenes they showed that are rendered realtime?Â
I played through a good chunk of FFCC single player, but never had anyone to test out multiplayer on it, so i hipe this one is way better and less boring/repetitive.
