Just wondering what you need to do with the Lite before you can start up and play? How many hours do you need to charge the battery before you can start playing? Do you need to enter any settings like timezone etc before you play?
Thanks, Juls :)

It's all in the manual

Batteries these days don't get much of a memory at all so you can use it right away if there's power

If you're a bit OCD you can plug it in and it'll be ready in an hour or so, or plug it in and play while it's charging

Try draining the batteries first before you charge it. And I suggest try not to play while you're chargin, just live it be. The usual charging time would be at least 3 hours.

If anything you should charge it completely before you drain it if you want to condition it.

No matter what it's got to charge and drain a few times before the battery reaches it's peak as far as longevity.

It's a NiMH battery anyhow whcih means it doesn't have a memory. These aren't the older batteries (NiCD) we're talking about

"When you intentionally discharge a battery down to a certain minimum voltage and then recharge it this is known as battery conditioning or reconditioning . It is also sometimes referred to as battery exercise. This is particularly important to reduce what some call the memory effect experienced using NiCD batteries if you habitually do not fully discharge them each time you use them. For NiCD batteries this must be done periodically, approximately every 10 charge/discharge cycles or so, or the batteries will begin to lose capacity. For NiMH batteries conditioning is not really needed to reduce any memory effect because that is negligible in this type of battery. However, reconditioning is very convenient for both NiMH and NiCD batteries because brand new batteries are not charged when you receive them and they must be charged and discharged three to five times before they reach their full capacity. In addition, occasionally conditioning rechargeable batteries helps to ensure that they give you years or service and save you as much money as possible, before you recycle them and get new ones. "

Before when it was new, i let it completely die and charge up all the way before i play it. which takes about 3 hours. But now i play and charge it doesn't matter to me any more. You can always get a new battery, they're cheap too

Well, I suppose two hours top, if you want it completely charged. The battery, with it being new, will probably last you for about six hours. With age, perhaps maybe it's just mine, It'll get to a point where it'll last for a lesser amount of time. I'd be lucky to get four hours of play before I go into the red.

You mean like some celular phones right some people said that they need to be charged for like 9 hours before the first time you use them, i had this doubt too but even now im not sure if that its needed -the manual doesn't say anything and i actually only charged mine like less than 5 hours- so im not sure try asking some attendant in the game store about it .

If you starts chargin it, I'm sure you could start playing as long as you keep it hooked up to the charger.
