Why do people say that casual games are crap? Read the top 10 NPD titles on each month and you'll see on the list that most are casual games. chris3116

at the same time you need to realise that the people purchasing these casual games arent true gamers, theyre old ppl, ppl who work and arent serious abt games, true hardcore gamers scoff at these games...

why hasnt any one compliained about this before this gen,, tell me one good reason i should believe the tc isnt being biased against the wii , for real most games made today cater to the casual , its been that way since in fact in reallity theres no such thing as hardcore, you wanna know what hard core is . its a type of match in wrestling,, and if every game was that, than we will be in our 2nd game crash ,, and quite frankly i been playing my wii and 360 more and most of the games on wii are better and funner and have split screen 2-4 players whike most of 360s software is what i played out since n64 era examples all the fpses 360s got,, all the same formula used since goldeneye 007 without splitscreen which is why i do not like first person shooters of today. aside from a few select fpses that offer it ,

you see my point ,, what would you chooose.. take out all the genres like party -rpg-platformer and just keep releasing fpses ,,,

I am not being biased towards the wii...i love nintendo as my primary console, my 360 is my secondary console...but i do hate the casual games that are coming out now, which are half ass*ed efforts made by developers who just wish to earn $$$$$....i only play hardcore titles, and dont tell me theres no such thing as hardcore vs casual games...youre just misinformed if you think that....

yes i do understand that, and i think u misunderstood what i wanted to say..when rumours had hit that kid icarus was beign developed by factor 5, i was happy since they were reviving the franchise...but then in the interview i heard it was going to be really casual, so i dont think that it will be kid icarus...and i was just expresiing my disappointment, but at the same time im happy since they might make retro develop kid icarus...also there are only a handful of casual games that are really good.....id say only one in a 100 casual games are actually good....

totally agree i just want to clarify that there are some good casual games out there.

I am dissappointed its not SF cause they could have revolutionixed that game but I know whatever they bring will look amazing and play amazing. I think this game is being PUBLISHED by a third party dev because I know NIntendo would have comissioned them with a hardcore game. i have a strong feeling that this is from a third party due to its casual nature.

Mario Galaxy was very casual, that's why it is so easily approachable and popular, it can appeal to anyone.

The real question is whether it is casual as in Wii Sports-casual or just Halo-casual.

It may have been "accesible" to non gamers but this is one of the most hardcore games I have ever seen. meaning it dynamically changed platforming and basically never had any game flaws.

What are we arguing about? It doesn't matter if its "Hardcore" or if its "Casual". The only thing that matters is if its going to be a good game.

Smash bros is hardcore. You forget how many tourneys were on melee alone. Anywho, games should not be judged until you actually play through the entire thing. This forum seems the most civilized which is probably the only reason why I haven't posted on the other two console forums.
