This looks much better than Final Fantasy III. Although I'm kind of afraid of these remakes - they're TOO oldschool. I've played many great games in the past on NES and SNES, but playing them today... It's just not the same thing.

But I guess they have to make the game like it was back in the day, since it's still the same game. Otherwise people, who've played these on the older systems, wiould claim that it's not the same game.

There are save points in dungeons, it isn't as bad as III.

Also, IV being better than III is a given. This adds to it.

Cecil the Dark Knight looks so sexy, so does Kain...

I've been debating picking up the remake of 3. I played the original and liked it, and figured this would be good too, but now I know forsure I'll wait. I've played all of them BUT 4, so this one is a forsure buy for me.DiscoBurn

Not when Square-Enix does remakes like this! It's so good that it feels like you're playing a whole new game all over again.

It's definitely worth playing again. It's too awesome to pass up.

It does indeed look sweet. However, I kinda wish they didn't give Cecil, Kain and the others last names to make them like FF VII characters. I know FF6 characters had last names, but I don't think they were ever referred to in the game itself. Ah well, small nitpick. I'll be getting this when it comes out for certain.StrikerGold

The story is about Cecil, a Dark Knight, wanting to atone for his actions and everything he's done wrong, then eventually uncovering the secrets about his bloodline. It starts out with Cecil and his best friend, Kain, on a mission to deliver a bomb ring to a helpless village (populated by summoners) by the order of the King of Baron. Once the ring destroys the village, they become outraged by what the King's intentions were (the King wanted to destroy the summoners because they were a "threat" to Baron). So then his journey to atonement starts, he abandons the King and goes on his own path, which leads him to a quest on saving the world. That's just a small summation of it, it's really hard to wrap it up in a few words, or I just suck at it.
