However, if you're asking me, I don't want neither of them. My PC can do exactly the same things as the 2.

I suggest you ask general games discussion? I think it's only allowed in System Wars, because it's comparing systems. System Wars is probably the worst place to go though -_-.

System Wars is probably the worst place to go though -_-.

When picking any system, it really depends on what type of games they have and if those games interest you. Do some simple research; check out the game lists, see what's popular.

So with that said...pick the 360. If those are your only two choices - a 360 or a PS3 - the 360 right now is the better choice. There's no real reason, IMO, to shell out $400 (for the non backward compatible version) or more for the PS3. The exclusive games don't seem to be worth the price, and all the other titles worth buying are multiplatform. The only good points so far to the PS3 are Home, which could be big for those Second Life lovers, and the fact that online is free, just like the Wii.

As long as you don't mind the price, the online paying subscription which can be aggravating to cancel out of, and the possibility that you may get the horrible "ring of death", the 360 is the best choice of the two. Or you could just save some money and get a Wii...as a Nintendo fanboy, I think I'm obligated under law to say that on a Wii board.

Tough choice, really. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. The 360 probably has the stronger online community for games, while the PS3 is sporting a built in BluRay player (for movies in HD). Price isn't so much an issue imo, b/c if you pick the 360 for the online, well, you're shelling out $50 a year (for say....5 years? $250 extra for that function, so think about it) Both have enough games now, and on the close horizon, to keep you busy for some time.

In the end, follow the exclusives that interest you. 360 is sporting Halo 3, Mass Effect, PGR3/4, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting (I don't count games available on the PC, btw. So don't scream "Bioshock, noob!" please). PS3 has Resistance, Motorstorm, Ratchet and Clank, and many others. I'd suggest doing a little research, seeing what's popular n each system, and determining which interest you the most. Or which features interest you the most.
