No one purchases Guitar Hero believing that it will teach them to play the guitar. People play it because its fun and they're drawn to the music in the game.

No its a game. Nothing about it is trying to be realistic. Which is why there is 5 plastic buttons and not strings. The only guitar simulation.... is well a guitar.

It is absoultely not a guitar simulator. It's a rhythm game, which uses guitar controllers.

I know that, but the controller is in form of a guitar, and a lot of people that are good at guitar hero think that they can play guitar just because they're good in the game and the people in my school tell that the guitar is very easy to play because they can play it in the game.
I post this for other people to see it not for me... I know that it's not a guitar simulator because you only have 5 buttons and there's no technique in the game but that's what most people says that it's a guitar simulator game.
Looks interesting, though I don't think I'm going to really like Battle Mode at all. I'm more excited about the song selections they've made, Knights of Cydonia!! w00! And The Metal looks pretty fun in that trailer.
I don't like the extra sound effects on the vs mode....
Other than that, I'm happy!
EDIT: is it just more or is the two player like a death match where you try to crush the other player and when you do the song ends? I'm not a fan of stopping the song early....
Dude I love Guitar Hero and I've played guitar for years and it doesn't screw me up or anything. In fact I use it as a method of rythem practice (Just for the fun of it). It 's just a fun way to be a rock star.
On a side note what has Activision done?! I don't get the shaky thing that makes u suck and the "whammy" thing is also confusing. But I do love the songs and still can't wait to make this part of my Wii collection!
Thanks, but I'll stray from this Activision mess. I'll be waiting for a genuine Harmonix game, like Guitar Hero Encore, or if comes to the Wii, Rock Band.

I didn't put my opinion in the first post, and it is like a parenthesis not because I say or some people say that it's a guitar simulator it's a guitar simulator. Obviously is not, but that's what people think because the controller is in form of a guitar.

I can give my opinion man and I really dont care if you give a **** or no, dont talk in plural and if people dont give a **** of my opinion then why do they discuss it? I only post to give information except in this case that's why I dont have to much posts and every day I check the gamespot forums so dont judge by the numbers. I playGuitar Aswell. I played GHII in Walmart in Febuary. And i LOVED IT!!! i was there fr like an hour Playing GHII. ts Not really LIKE playing a REAL guitar, but its still AWESOME
