Suda's keynote started at 5:30 EST and ends up at 6:30 so there's still time for something else maybe. Either way we have a new No More Heroes trailer so I'm already satisfied. 8)

That's the first thing I noticed aswell. Definitly sounds a lot better. And the characters all look very nice and full of style.

That's the first thing I noticed aswell. Definitly sounds a lot better. And the characters all look very nice and full of style.
Voice acting seems deent, but not too bad. I'm personally not a fan of all the gore, but I suppose people who love who love violence will have something besides Manhunt 2 to look forward to on the Wii.

Ah, this IS the Wii we're talking about. If it's coming out in Japan/North America later this year, it'll be coming out around halfway through 2008 for Europe. Probably.
And the gore is awesome. Remember, this is a 3rd party dev, so they don't have to adhere to Nintendo's non-intentional family-friendly image. Which is a good thing. Games like these will attract people who were maybe a little too skeptical about the "kiddy" nature of most of Nintendo's games to get the Wii.

the ridiculous amount of blood is all part of Suda's style. Kinda like how Quentin Tarantino made the blood splatter all over the place in Kill Bill like in a very violent anime. It's all about the style and those "what the hell!" moments that Suda so like to put in his games.

I cant wait for this game:D. It seems like the voices have been done over which was needed. The action and blood is just plain kick ass. I WANT THIS SO BAD!!!!.

Yeah...that's fantastic.
See, this is proof that games have some effect -- at least on the culture as a whole. People WANT violent games, for no reason other than the violence. It's not a direct effect, but one of cultivation.
Anyway, this game looks pretty interesting, but to be honest, I'm more excited about the hopefully deep combat and exploration aspects than the violence or anything like that in particular.
While I too was impressed a couple things worried. WTF is with the delayed gore effects. I'm all for exaggeration, but c'mon, it's a lot more satisfying to see the mess you made WHILE you finish of someone And the combat doesn't look all that fluid when in contact with enemies when comparing it to games like Kingdom Hearts 2 and Ninja Gaiden.
That was the SECOND best trailer at GDC *No points for guessing the first*, anyway I love this games style. I haven't played Killer7, but I have played Grasshopeprs other Nintendo game, Contact for the DS, which is my 2nd favorite DS game.
