I heard the first one was REALLY good but I haven't played it yet. I want to get it after seeing this review. Is it really as good as everyone is claiming?titanium2108
It's very good. A bit too easy and quick to get through, but very fun gameplay none the less. Def worth the buy.
I've been hoping they'd make NSMB2, but in 2D. And style it after the origina, 4 playable characters and slightly different than all the rest.
Whatever though, I'd be happy with this.
I really hope there is a another New Super Mario Bros game but it should stay in 2D.chocolate1325No it shouldn't! Mario is best in 3d, don't give Nintendo ideas.

If the NSMB franchise turns 3D, then chances of new side scrollers are slim(Except in remakes). I'd rather have the Wii keep the 3D mario games, and the DS keep the scrollers. I don't care if everything is rendered 3D, as long as the gameplay is 2D, it's ok. Although with the new style, I had to get used to the "floatiness" of the game, after that, it was a fun romp through memories lane.

Well, if Nintendo don't make a 3d Mario game on the Wii soon then i'm all for them making it on the ds. But if they do, I don't care.2D for the fact that the DS doesnt have an analog stick/but if they plan to include an add-on.........Arclight_Blue
Mario64 DS worked fine with a D-Pad. Not great but fine.
