New Super Mario Bros Wii Official Trailer! (single player still looks awsome)

So anyways, this just confirmed a day-one buy for me. Like LittleBigPlanet, the single player looks solid, but the more people the better. Single player still looks pretty sweet (which I'm relieved about), but yeah. The four player looks off-the-chain-amazing. Take a look. Sorry if old.

this game will own my free time for months, I can't wait for the end of the year now!

I actually like that they're keeping the visuals consistant with the DS one. And I'm sure it'll look prettier by the time the game actually comes out. Man this game is really a dream come true! A 2-D Mario on a Nintendo home console! It's been about three gens--it's about dang time!

The game looks phenomenal. About 80 courses? Ability to play with up to three friends at once? New power-ups? Yes please.

Although I'll forever be mildly disappointed at the lack of online.

There were three things I was really wanting and half expected to see at this E3

1) Pikmin 3

2) Beyond Good and Evil 2

3) a sequel to New Super Mario Bros.

I got my third wish with this game. I am very happy! I wonder what the over world will look like. I've also noticed that you can't have an item stocked at the top of the screen like the DS game.

Yay! My safety eject green dinosaur is back! What i mean by that is in Super Mario World if i fell in a pit while riding yoshi, i would jump off and screw yoshi.

Sweet! I loved the first one and that penguin suit looks sick.

They could of made it look like a wii game, rather than just using the DS visuals They also could of picked another character rather than two Toads. Wario? Peach? Still looks incredibly fun, I just hope the landscapes will have some nice change in them thoughWaffle_Fish

Of course they could make it look "like a Wii game" but then we wouldn't have four-player competitive/cooperative mode. I agree with you on the characters though.

I've seen that trailer like 5 times now (and another time after I post this). It does look great. I really love Mario games, and this one looks like it could be great. For the most part, I can see myself playing this alone, but I think that this might be one game I could convince my brother to play as well. Either way, it should be fun. I'm glad that Yoshi is getting love in both new Mario games coming out. Hopefully this game is more like Mario 3/Mario World with all the secrets, abilitiy to fly, etc.

EDIT - Oh! by the way, the biggest addition to this game is the addition of the Kooplings from Mario 3 and Mario World instead of Bowser Jr! This game will be a great one.

Yeah it looks awesome, I'll definitly be buying it. It was an unexpected, pleasant suprise.

I sincerely hope that isn't the ingame soundtrack... its terrible.

Going to be hard to pick this up when I already have Super Mario Bros and Super Mario World, which this is basically a co-op mashup of:P

after watching this a few times, I don't see how this looks like the DS version. I know it's not the most visually impressive game to date, but it's a hell of a lot smoother looking compared to the DS version. Especially the character models.
