hello,

current owner of a ps3 and psp, however for christmas this year ive just ordered a ds> good move or bad, only time will tell.

ive ordered the crimson ds lite, and chose it for the different type of gameplay it offers compared to what i have.

i need some games though, good ones.

ive ordered loads for it, but i dont know if they are great... your comments please.

also, if im missing a good game, please tell me and i'll look into it :)

here is what i ordered:

Metroid Prime Hunters

Burnout

Sonic

Asphalt Urban GT

Mario Part DS

NEW! Super Mario Bros.

Big Brain Academy

Pokemon Diamond

Zelda Phantom Hourglass

Mario Kart DS

My Sims

Thillville: off the rails

as you can see, i tried to get a mixture of different types of games to stop me being bored (which is usually very quick)

your comments and suggestions for what im missing please.

totally new to the DS here, aint really sure what to expect but i shall know when it all arrives.

thank you.

Looks like you have a pretty great mix of games, you got most of the good ones too, I'd reccomend getting a Tony Hawks game if you are into skateboarding, they are more fun on DS than on console I think, Call of Duty 4 DS is also pretty good if you are looking for an FPS with a little bit more gun fun than Metroid which is more about exploring. The only game I would take off is Asphalt Urban GT, may as well just stick with Burnout and Mario Kart for racing.

Most of the games you have there are very good. But I haven't heard good things for Thillville and My Sims. I'd also suggest a Castelvania game and Advance Wars Dual Strike if you can find it(or wait for the new Advance Wars in January).

Burnout Legends on the DS sucked, imo. Thrillville and Mysims, I don't even know about those ones, other than mixed thoughts towards them by the people who have played them.

The rest seem good, and yeah, Elite Beat Agents is a good choice.

Other good choices would be like Meteos, Yoshi Island DS, and many many others..

I also say that Elite Beat Agents is a solid game. And if you like Rpg kinda games and you don't want to play pokemon you should try Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. Its a super addicting game that you could spend hundreds of hours on, most of it is breeding new monsters and raising them.

My advise:

you should take Animal Crossing in stead of My Sims

My Sims is the light version of Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing has a lot of great reviews and scores high

and with My Sims you get bored quickly, its not as good as Animal Crossing

Do NOT get Animal Crossing unless you like games that you play for like an hour a day once a week, in my mind it is the most mind numbingly dull game in the world and I don't see why people like it there's literally nothing to do!

Well if it's just the puzzle genre that you don't like or are not good at, then maybe ut is ok if you overlook Meteos. But it's still a great game, nonetheless.

I'd skip Burnout and Asphalt Urban GT (it's a good game, but as a racer it is pretty outdated)... but otherwise good choices. I'd also check out Animal Crossing: Wild World, Phoenix Wright (but only if you don't mind reading alot)and Advance Wars (I'd recommend the new one that comes out in January since it features a robust online multiplayer feature).

Well, if you care for thsi kind of game, get Picross DS... try some online ones to see if you like it, but its cheap and very addictive, plus you get new puzzles all the time.

What do you mean your waiting for a good price on Yoshi Island? The game came out just this year so it isn't going to be having a price drop anytime soon. And besides most DS games never get a price drop to begin with. I think the game is worth full price, but then again I'm a huge platformer and Yoshi Island fan. If you want a cheaper Yoshi Island you can tyr to find the remake of the original Yoshi Island on the GBA.

Agreed, you need Phoenix Wright for sure.

Also, I'm pretty sure I didn't see mario kart on your list. Since Burnout sucks, Mario Kart should be it's replacement. Also, Advanced Wars: Dual Strike, or just wait for the new one to come out. Final Fantasy III or Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings are also good ones.

I would highly recommend Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Only problem with it is that it is VERY expensive. You'll be lucky to get it for $30 or less. I looked at Amazon recently, and the cheapest one there was about $55 (used!). Wow, talk about extortion...

I would also recommend Puzzle Quest and Age of Empires.

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is a great choice.

Use caution with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. I was VERY disappointed with them.

Rather than Animal Crossing or My Sims I recommend Harvest Moon or Rune Factory.

I also recommend Legand of Zelda and Puzzle Quest.

hi, some have arrived :)

Meteos is really good, i didnt think it would be. (completed the 4 easy levels, but normal is quite hard)

metroid pinball/metroid hunters are 2 fantastic games, they have really done them well.

sonic is great, but as soon as i got to the first boss... dont know how to kill him. (stupid thing roles me off the mountain, and i cant jump high enough over it) *hmm.

not really tried many of the others properly yet, but i will :)

and still loads more to arrive.

Q. how do you delete the saved data on Elite Beat Agents?
