Okay anyways I am not going to repeat all the stuff that has already been said because you can take the time out of your lives to find it yourself. But a new wii channel has been announced for demos basically. But some wonder how there will be enough space on the wii to play these demos. And why wait till next year why not right now?

Personally I think there is a really good reason. The wii can't hold more then a few demos right now. So why the crap would they release such a thing?

Well if its one thing nintendo is famous for its those lovely attchables for their consoles most of us end up buying. And I think they right now they are working on a attchable for the USB port. Which will most likely be a external memory hard drive so we can download these things plus more. Which means it might actually be worth it to buy it so we can get these demos and more onto the wii if that is what they truly are working on. And if so we wouldn't really see it released untill the christmas comes around to maxmize sells of course xP if you know what I mean ~.^

So how many think this is possibly true or do you think nintendo has another idea to make room on the wii for these additonal channels?

WiiWare... wasn't tought with DEMOS in mind....

Its tought to be for delivering original...new games, wich can be developed for cheap...by publishers, and by indie developers.

The Virtual Console...will be for the classic, old games, that were released long time ago.... and the New Channel will be for WiiWare, new releases, delivered by download ;)...

Any way... Nintendo confirmed that a Wii Hard Drive isn't coming (for now ;))...

Demos or original games, his point stands: there isn't currently the storage to support this. They'll announce USB HD support, update the firmware to actually use SD cards for something useful, or both.

The point I am trying to make really is either

A. Nintendo is bluffing about no external HD being designed for the machine to support this newer feature unless they want to limit each cust to only get a few games downloaded.

B. They are designing some firmwire to make a SD card worthwhile to purchase xP

I see USB hard drive support coming very soon. Also, with access and transfer rates of SD cards actually being faster than thespeed of DVDs, that would be the ideal solution. SD cards are dirt cheap right now.

Either way would suit me just fine.

If they do make demos downloadable for the Wii I think that is a great idea. But I hope they make DS demos available too. The Wii is definitely capable of it.

My guess? Nintendo will go the route of Microsoft and release a "Wii-lete" or some similarly punny named uber-Wii, with extra hard drive space and high-definition upscaling or some crap like that. And, because we're stupid, we'll buy it, even tho we already own the original.

Games don't have to be hundreds of megs in size; nor do they have to be such to be good.

nah, i dont think this is too much of a strech for nintendo, they're already making bank with the wii, so i'm sure that it woulnt hurt them to release a hd sides i dont think we need more than 20-30 gbs?
