New Wii Owner Here

Hello everyone, Santa was kind enough to bring my family (more so my 5 year old son) a Wii for Christmas. I've got everything setup and everything seems to be working like it should, which is great. However, I have a question regarding how to shut off the system and what the different power lights mean. Obviously, the green light indicates that the system is on. However, I could not find any information in the owners manuals on what the differences between the power button on the unit is held and the green "on" light changes to the red light indicating that the unit is "off" verses the yellow-ish light when the power button is pressed on the wii remote and the unit is "shut off". Could someone please explain the difference between the red and yellow lights for me? Thanks.

Red is off

Orange is standby

Turning off the wii is simple as pressing the button on the front, or the botton on top of the Wii-mote.

The red light indicates that your wii is off, and is not connected to the internet

The orange light indicates that your wii is off and is connected to the internet (via wiiconnect24)

The green light indicates that your wii is currently on.

Red means that the system is shut off completely but is still plugged into a power source.

Yellow means that the system is on standby, which means that its off but can still receive updates from wiiconnect24.

And Green obviously means that the system is on.
