I just purchased a wii online and will receive it in the next few days for my girlfriend. I got the package with a wii remote and nunchuck along with wii sports. The question I have is does it need a memory card or is there a hard drive built in to save games. Does the Wii have wireless connection built it or do I have to purchase something later. I was thinking of buying Mario Galaxy.

Yes, the Wii has a memory built in to save games and VC/WiiWare games, and, yes, it has Wifi built in too...

That is cool I do not need to buy anything else. Does the component cable make a big difference on HDTV's for the Nintendo Wii.

a little. it allows you to run in progressive scane. while this is a FAR cry from 720p and up it does look a little better than 480i. you can buy the ninty brand ones that are iirc about 40 bucks but gamestop sells a multi set that works with Wii,ps3 and 360 for 19.99.

Have fun with the new wii. I got wii HD cables from the site in my signature for free. I did notice a pretty noticable difference on my Samsung 50' 720 DLP TV. As someone else noted its not 720p but its a little better and 480i.
