I think that the most that we will see is a teaser. Think, nintendo is probably gonna have animal crossing come out this year or early next year along with kid icarus and mabye a new starfox and probably a handful of wii ware titles. So why throw zelda into that mix?lilarchie232
That's enough. Zelda has always been announced with teasers, actually pretty much every major game is. I guess then people who disagree with "Zelda might be at E3" think that means Zelda playable at E3?
What do y'all think?petermuyo
I think it's too soon for a new Zelda they don't have many franchises I feel like nintendo is trying to revive old franchises but they should create something new designed especifically for the Wii controls and not to adapt an old franchise
I wouldnt count on it. I think we'll see something this year but not at E3 rather sometime towards the very end of the year. E3 should be all about more immediate games that will be released the end of this year and beginning of next.enduin
That has never been so for most games, and never for Zelda since Majora's Mask. Ocarina of Time was revealed at SpaceWorld, but that doesn't exist anymore. E3 2008 is the perfect timing for Nintendo to reveal Zelda Wii.

Zelda has gone through it all from NES to DS never suffering at all. So did many stellar franchises. WTF is that with "adapting franchises"?! Adapting a game is something totally different from creating a new one within the same universe... Which is what is done with every new Zelda (or any other game from a franchise, for that matter).
when is E3?21Link21Like the first or second week of July. I think it is possible that Nintendo would drop a trailer to tease us. I wouldn't see the game released until 2009. I do believe that there is a game in development.

Oh how I miss SpaceWorld. And I have to agree, E3 is the only time to reveal a new Zelda. Even though it's not as big anymore, it's still one of the most covered events in video gaming. Revealing a new Zelda anywhere else would be foolish.

There is a game in develoment, Aonuma even talked a bit about Zelda Wii last E3... I wonder why no one seems to know that.

That is true for the past but I really dont think its the perfect time right now. Nintendo's more recent future is still too unclear and E3 is the perfect time to pan that out and hopefully unveil new instalments for some other of their franchises with a lot of coverage. Releasing a teaser for Zelda at the same time would really overshadow everything else theyd be showing thats coming out sooner and all the big coverage and talk there in after would focus on Zelda Wii news and speculation.
By waiting for an event later in the year to unveil Zelda Wii titles coming out in late 08 and early 09 will be able to get better coverage and attention. Maybe they will show Zelda Wii at E3 but I really think theyll be jumping the gun on something that doesnt need the extra hype and theyll be inadvertently downplaying their other offerings.

This is true, Nintendo may suddenly change their pattern, announcing the next Zelda close to release (and not two years earlier as usual) and restarting SpaceWorld or something. But this depends on what they have for 2008-2009, it gotta be godly to make us forget Mario/Zelda/Metroid and also on how Zelda would be announced. For instance, if you compare WW and TP first trailers, there was a huge difference in their respective presentations. While TP deserved a "next best thing since sliced bread" BANG, Wind Waker make a slightly more subtle appearance because of the risky new art style.
probably not. i sure hope so though, i only have 3 wii games so far and am not seing anything worth my moneys on the horizonNaiKoN9293Same

That says it all. Next Zelda in the works.
Wouldn't it be too soon? I'd be the happiest dude alive if it really is happening, but the expectations would be incredibly high.BaraChat
It's already too late. Every Zelda has been announced one year after its predecessor, and that since Majora's Mask.

I mean that the last one was made for GC and didn't have real motion sencing, and I would like to have one designed specifically for the Wii control sheme
mabye, mabye not. like someone said above, us core gamers havent had much except for smash bros and mario kart for the past few months so i believe that nintendo will drop an atom bomb full of surprises this e3. it doesnt look like they have been working on much so we very well could see mabye a teaser trailer or pics or something.
on the other hand, it would still be a long way off. these games take forever and thats good b/c if they didnt, they wouldnt be good. it has only been about half the time that it takes to release a big zelda so we may have to wait till later.
w'ell just have to wait and see
Even if they do annouce it I won't get it unless if it has onlineWii101dude that's dumb...it's zelda man...online is absolutely dumb for zelda trust me...they've tried online before and it's not that great...just a few battles if ur expecting online for a 1 player mainly game...then just don't even pay attention to zelda anymore...go play halo or COD4
There most likely will be at least a hint of zelda at E3. Will it overshadow the other games they show? Maybe, but its not like it is going to stop Starfox or AC or Pikmin from selling huge amounts. Really, they need to give us a tast just to get us excited again. I personly have not been thinking about a new Zelda game and that is a shame as I never get as hyped for any other game. Zelda is the only reason that I am a gamer today, if it had not been for OoT and MM i would have given up videogames when I was 16.
If they don't have any showing of Zelda at E3 then they will really miss the boat this year.

How can you only have 3 Wii games? I have 11 and I still havent picked up Okami or Boomblox.
I cant wait for another Zelda game. Its technically only been 1 year since phantom hourglass so hopefully we will get a realistic looking Zelda for Wii this time around.

Easily. Galaxy. Brawl. Twilight Princess. All of the other games are my brothers and they're shovelware (imo).
Ideally, it will be announced this year, and then delayed when Nintendo decides to bump it up to a true masterpiece...not actually arriving until 2010 or 11. That's what I'd hope for :) I also think that Nintendo should radically change the Zelda series for this game. I wouldn't be unhappy if they implemented a dynamic first person view like the one in Mirror's Edge. (Of course, I'm not suggesting that game as a model for Zelda, just its use of first person perspective). And announced means something like a screenshot, a tentative release date, or a title. Since it's Nintendo, you can assume they are always working on a new Zelda title. The fact that Aonuma "announced" that fact, which is always true anyway, at least for the past twelve years or so, doesn't really count as an announcement of a particular game.
