Next DS?

The DS is getting kind of old, and its almost time, for nintendo to make a new one. however, will it be backwards compatible?

Hang on - here in the UK the XL isn't even out yet so I'm hoping it will be at least another 18 months before a DS replacement appears. Judging from Nintendo's past I would be majorly surprised if it was not backwards compatible!!

And having bought 6 DSi's in 2009 (me, wife and 4 kids) I certainly won't be getting one anytime soon!!

Consider DSi LL haven't released yet. Isn't it too early talk about next DS?

Way too early. If Nintendo's making another DS, they'll be screwing over the Dsi and Dsi XL consumers.

They aren't making a new Ds , but they are making a new handheld with motion-sensing and better graphics.
