Well for the next part to happen, there would have to be a first one. Alos, the guy in charge of FE said it's better left on consoles, so the chances of a DS FE are low.
yeah all but the two on gba were for consoles. I just got the second one for gba and im gunna get the first one and path of radiance soon. I wish they would come out with one for ds too. That would be awsome.
The creator himself said in an interview that he prefers working on a console rather than handheld for fire emblem. He says theres little chance at the moment for a FE game. (this was probably 6 months ago)
So its still gonna be a hwile if we ever do get one.
Also... how do you do this kind of game in wifi? i mean, i know you could just fight the other person, but more than not, your going to either face someone with all 20/20 leveled strong people or just in experienced noobs. Wifi doesn't have to be in every game. FE is a very 1P game for me... but i guess if some find fun it the multiplayer, good for them.
Maybe they might go the advanced wars: dual strike route with create-a-map, multiplayer somehow, amazing replay value. I own AW: DS and i still play it every now and then (close to 150 hours :P ). Since both games are made by inteligent systems, its possible. Anybody played Advanced wars?

fire emblem s the medeivel version of AW...and both are great...I recently lost my copy of FE:...I forget...the one with the twins...any way...a DS FE would be better than a Wii...FE...the console ones look a bit worse...and the sprite based ones look cleaner...the GC FE...was anoying like all of them ... since if a man dies...you sorta have to restart the mission...okay in the 2nd GBA fe...I kepy playing after losein a man...and by the end...I had like 6 men...okay maybe 8...but I lost a huge portion of my possible party...so that's why I no longer let my charecters die...for ya'll that like FE...jeanne D'ark is a good game...that's really similar!
I just hope there will be a chronicle of FE that didn't get released in North America (for those who don't know, there were 6 in Japan, but they never got released in North America), what's there to hold them back? Although I could understand where he's going (FE has always been a notoriously long and hard game), hopefully they'll be able to continue the series on a handheld.
