I hope in the next Zelda they don't make you turn into a dog like in Twilight Princess, and they don't do away with heart piece searching like they did away with in Phantom Hourglass.
Mabye they should make a next gen Zelda game but do it like the television show Sliders...where you keep traveling to paralel universes in search of something...like the triforce and Princess Zelda perhaps?
Y'know they recently optimized the Elder Scrolls IV engine to work fine on Wii in 480p.
Y'know where i'm going with this.
i'd like to see a darker, more futuristic zelda. reinvent it like galaxy does mario.
i'd like to see zelda, ganon, and link have to team up together to fight a greater evil too.

yeah, like when the sorceress and he-man and skeletor had to join forces against evil-seed?
I would like it to be more violent and really epic. Maybe even give Link a voice (inb4excusemeprincess).

These are my thoughts exactly. The Zelda world could be so much richer and full than it is. Zelda is already firmly one of the best game series of all time, but I was a huge fan of the exploration of the dark side of Zelda in Majora's Mask. I think that needs to be expanded upon. Also, a huge and more immersive and interactive world like Elder Scrolls would be amazing.
Also... when is Nintendo going to break down and give these games some voice acting? Even I have to wonder that. I can understand their need for the voice acting not to sound shoddy, but I think if they really tried they could pull it off well. Especially in Zelda, it would be brilliant.
I think they should just make another TP but with Voice acting for everyone but link, but still have text boxes as well. They should also give TRUE next gen Wii graphics with an increased difficulty to the fighting and bosses, or just make it you can only get say 10 hearts or something to make the game harder. And maybe they should do something more gameplay changing than just turning a Wolf.

I would be fuming mad if Nintendo went to a 3rd party engine to make one of their own franchises... And it wont happen.
If they do this game with the same effort that they did with SUPER MARIO GALAXY then this game will give an awe of god like appeal.
Visuals:
Should outdo SMG by alot meaning programable shaders, high FPS rate, smooth framerate, big worlds, transperancy in water, real lighting, and deatiled textures. 16:9 widescreen, 480p.
Audio:
The Wiimote speaker was good in TP but they should expand. There would be slashing of the sword, sound of the Bow stretching and the Arrow wooshing through the air, and the fairy's advice.
Fully orchestrated Zelda music and they should compose new music that gives an epic war-like feel.
Controls:
YES 1 to 1 controls for quick hitsand on an enemies it does recognize some key differences on were you hit them. When you hold A that does the strong attacks that arent one to one control but they are direction based, meaning swing the Wiimote downwhile hold A and you do the original jump attack/swing it up and you do an uppercut swing/swing left or right and you get a strong swing of the sword left or right/ push the wiimote forward to do a stabbing attack (yes Link should be able to shank its about damn time). You know how they map their items to the D-pad well why not let us map less important items to the diagonal directions of the D-pad so that we dont have to press start as much, good idea anyone? I dont know if they really need the iR on at all times thats something I have not thought of yet but obviously things like Boomerang and Arrows are aimed with the IR. Some items would simply be pressed by an item or you could use the Wiimote for more accurate and powerful but it takes more skill. Swing the nunchuk for a shield jab but there is also a button for just regular guard. The jab can send arrows back to the enemy but if you do it wrong you get hurt.
The controls can be done right it just takes polish and trial and error on the developers side. Being that they are already making the next game its pretty safe to say they will do something like this.
Gameplay:
I think bosses need to get harder. If you remeber some of the earlier bosses int he Zelda series they were much harder than what we saw in TP. TP is not a non gamer game so lets raise the difficulty not lower it.
Temples are at the core of Zelda games but they need more than just mini quest to break up your transition to those temples. I have suggested before that this Zelda game should have full scales battles and the venturing to temples helps you find out about your enemy and why you have to go to war with them. Yes real big battles kinda like Heavenly Sword except done right.
Enemies are affected differently not only by the different weapons you use but by the direction with your sword. SOme directions wont work. The power hits are hard to pull of and leave you open for attack while the swift one to one control hits are weaker but let you jump around your enemy and dodge.
Story:
As I said before there should be wars that are started by the overlying bad guy. The bad guy should be so powerful that he captures Ganon and thats perfectly good way to keep Ganon involved in the story but not have him ONCE AGIN the main bad guy.
Like I said there should be battles which literally decide the fate of Hyrule. The battles have elments of puzzles in it like you wil progress to different sections fo the battle field, one part involves shooting arrows maybe shooting ropes to make aplatform fall on enmies/plant bombs near a hill side to make rocls tumble on the enmie/ or you could be on the front line. No this is not a battle field game but it will take elements and I think it is genious. Once you are in the battle you cant get out, there will be troops and such and different allies helping you in battle but obviously you will be fighting ALOT of enemies and near the end when you are starting to win the battle you will fight an important bad guy who is behind the overall plan to destroy hyrule.
another way to make the Temple venturing be more transitional is by high speed horse battles which were in TP but this time they should go way more in depth. The key with all these new ideas, which im sure diehard Zelda fanboys are getting a temper tantrum because i want new lements that are revolutionary to the game to be involved, is to reduce the petty puzzles and incorporate them in battkes and horse chases. Think about how much better that is......
This game should be darker and more serious, making you feel more of an emptiness when they portray the evil side. NO THIS SHOULD NOT BE A DUAL NATURED YIN YANG game that so many games are using now. It just wouldnt work. Link is a good guy and being that most games out have their main characters struggle with themselves more than the main bad guy it would not be original to do.
i hope you like it, I think my transition between Temples and the new control scheme will bring this game true glory that harkens to the OoT days.

I know I know its long and stupid.
Im sorry but Zelda games could use new ways to look at puzzles and instead of it being by collectin g milk for some old lady make it in the form of battles and brawls. I think my idea would transcend the whole series and I know its arrogent and all but i truly believe this.
i would definetly like the enemies to be better, and i don't think i can stand another zelda that doesn't have voice acting (except of link of course)
i'm definetly ready for a drastic change in the zelda series

I thin they will probably have voice acting for alot of characters, another thing that would be cool is that if some character used the ancient Hylian languange.
BTW how do you like my idea?
a new zelda is pretty much confirmed and coming sooner than you think. It was being developed alongside Twilight princess. It's also supposed to take the series somewhere very different

I hope they take their time and that its released at the end of the Wii life cycle.
A few things:
1. Control needs to be designed for the Wii. I think that's obvious and I know we'd all love something like 1:1 sword play, but also with the puzzles. I haven't played it yet, but I hear that Zak and Wiki does some great things with the Wiimote. Nintendo might take note from Capcom here in the puzzle department.
2. Link needs to stop being such a lame character (or noncharacter as in the case of TP). Best way to do this, I think, make him talk. And if it goes that far, might as well add voices.
3. The idea of large battles is one I like. Huge battles of good and evil like LotR, yes please. But then again, I don't think it fits the Zelda model very well.
4. Ganon must remain the bad guy and a continuation of the original (OoT/WW (haven't played PH, not sure about that story)) triforce story.
Y'know they recently optimized the Elder Scrolls IV engine to work fine on Wii in 480p.
Y'know where i'm going with this.

Dude?! Got any links, sounds cool:shock:
I hope the next Zeldawill continue the storyline ofTwilight Princess, with upped graphics. More towns and mysterious caves scattered aroundHyrule for Link to explore.Huge open fields and NO horse, at first. I hope they can focus on all the great things in Zelda 2, like the big world, many towns and the variety of temple-themes.
A greatnon-linear world with much to explore and... use the Wii-mote more!

Lol, playing Twilight Princess without a horse is a pain in the ***.
to me it seems fairly obvious that the game will resemble phantom hourglass in many respects. Wiimote integration will be key.
I wouldn't mind it if it took a cue from assassin's creed and used rhythm based combat (like a dance game). They could look to rayman for the implementation. That dance floor minigame was TIGHT! Imagine instead of tappingrabbids from the right and left you were blocking and striking moblins
I like that Nintendo made TP more realistic like gamers wanted... but on the Wii they can make it even MORe realistic. I really don't care what the storyline is, because I know Nintendo will make it cool, but they have to make it harder than TP and PHG. Both of those were way too easy. I think the focus of heart pieces should be to help you through the game easier. If they made the bad guys hard, you would WANT to find heart pieces to make the game easier, and that would make them more important. They could also make it a little bit more theatrical and less "cutesy".
-Harder baddies
-All new weapons
-Make the sword fun agaon. don't care how, just do it somehow
-make the weapons useful and don't make a new weapon in a later level that makes a previous one irrelevant (ie bow vs slingshot)
-Loved the long game idea, needs to be even longer and more twists and turns in the plot. Maybe the goal shouldn't be to rescue Zelda, perhaps it should be more to save the world. Have zelda rescued after the third temple or something...
-Definately a larger evil than ganon forcing him to team up (and later back stab) link and zelda
-Fully orchestrated music a la mario galaxy (only zelda wth kewlness)
-Bring back different swords and strengths, if the baddies get too hard as the game progresses, you will need a more powerful sword to even it out a bit
-MAGIC - bring it back. Its part of zelda and TP had it removed for no reason, magic adds depth to the game
-Hopefully they make the land large again, and more beautiful, they did a decent job with TP but it still looked GC-ish and now they have the power to make ... actual grass instead of green textures, bump mapping and specular highlighting, transparencies and HDR and all that jazz...
I hope in the next Zelda they don't make you turn into a dog like in Twilight Princess, and they don't do away with heart piece searching like they did away with in Phantom Hourglass.

I loved the Wolf thing, sometimes it's even cooler playing as a wolf than a human (or hylian, or whatever the bloody hell link is)
About the traveling thorugh parallel universes, they kinda did that on Four Swords. It's a very good game btw
