I think Nintendo is going to use this tech for her next console. Nintendo use some of this tech (Holography) in 3ds event in England lately, look at the video below:

also Nintendo teamed up in 2008 with company called InPhase Technologies inwhich is developing holographic storage look atthey website and wiki below:

and they make commercial about they tech look at video below

I'm not sure what the holographic storage has to with 3D, but I'm sure it will be incorporated in the next console. It would be amazing if they could make the "Holography" work in your living room for less than $300, but that just doesn't seem realistic.

I wouldn't buy it, Also, your thread title is very misleading seeing as its based on nothing but your wild guess, i would suggest changing it

Yeah the title is a little bit misleading. If it sounded plausible to me I might have been tricked into thinking it was news. I guess it would be interesting if Nintendo did that, but I doubt they would, at least for the next console. I kind of think the next Nintendo system won't be stereoscopic 3D focused.

You mean Holographic storage which yes Nintendo has the technology. Holography like something on Star Wars or Star Trek will not happen anytime soon.

If you pay attention to Nintendo as close as I do, you'd know that something like that is down the line. They're on record (it was either Iwata or Miyamoto) saying they eventually want to take gaming away from the limits of the TV. So yeah something like that is most definetly in their future. As for their next console? I'll say No. The technology just isn't there. My guess for the Wii2 is HD and 3D with sensors on the controller that detect your pulse....and something else that's crazy...
