Seriously they need to make it, I'd spend 1,000 Wii Points if they did make it. I honestly don't see why they didn't.

Because DVD playback is a last gen feature and if you can't include BluRay or HDDVD then skip it altogether?

A DVD player is 19.99

Plus they'd have to pay a fee for every Wii sold so far.

Simple, it'scheap to get a DVD player. You won't see Nintendo making this kind of firmware. Also, it's more like a hardware problem. Why should Nintendo bring DVD playback on Wii?

I dont really care what nintendo gives away for free. I mean toys R us pretty much hands you nintendo products :P. Zelda you get a free guide, Mario get 25 dollars back. lol These were when the games were first out of course.Minishdriveby

I do find that Toys R Us is a great place to shop for Wii games/merchandise. They impress me.

This makes me wonder.... What kind of accident prevention will Nintendo need to come up with for the balance board? People will inevitably fall of it, and some will fall through their brand-new plasma TVs and want Nintendo to pay for it. There's only one thing Nintendo can do...

Yeah, I don't think they should include a DVD Playing Firmware. Everybody has one and Nintendo needs to focus in better things for us gamers.

If only that were the world we live in.... Overused example: Spill hot coffee on yourself and win the lawsuit. It's pathetic, but it happens. Companies have to treat all their customers like infants in order to be safe.

DVD compatibility. But not HD-DVD or Blu-Ray. I don't care about either of them.

Wii Helmet (Wellmet), Shoulder Pads (WiiPads - Part 1), Knee Pads (WiiPads- Part 2), Wii Sports Shoes (Wooes) and Cups ('Wii' Protectors)

That's all I can think of for now, all of it being safty stuff of course. :D

I've seen all that Nintendo fanboy crap they sell at Target and Hot Topic with "Nintendo Roots" and NES games with spraypaint 'style' or whatever, written on them. Just not for me. I'd like to rep. some nice,Wii gear. Maybe a SMG sweatshirt with just mario and the logo? How many of you would wear that?

It's a fairly good bet that the next perhiphial safety feature will be for the Wii Balance Board.

So they'll need to add a guard rail on the front so elderly/people between 650 and 350 pound/ lazy people dont fall off and sue Nintendo for their inadaquate walking skills.

And yes, it will be adjutable, gaudy, and will be talked about by casuals who take it upon themselves to own Wii Sports, Guitar Hero 3, and Wii FIt.
