I was think quite ahead here but it would really suck if they made you buy these games again and it would also suck if they did not have them at all. SO I think that VC should be perpetual in that in goes on to whatever succeeds the Wii. Once you have it on the next system your old download will not work on the Wii.

If they recharge you that would be so lame.

i believe that it is prety sure that the virtual console will continue at the next ninteno console when it arrives.iam also sure that nintendo will allow us to transfer what we have now in our wii's virtual console to their next console.i also think that we will always can delete and redownload for free the games we have already paid for.the next nintendo console will continue what exists now and expand it with new consoles.let's just enjoy what we have now...

I think nintendo should include a harddrive in the next system so we can download tons of vc titles and even GC games...

That would be awesome

Everyone I've spoken to has said they're surprised just how well the Virtual Console has done and that they think they're not going to scrap it after the Wii. Also there's so many users with Virtual Console games at this point it wouldn't make sense to cease ownership of those games because of the PR backlash.

Combo that with the success of the Wii in general, and you have one major-selling feature. Nintendo is holding a dangerous weapon here, one that will shoot them in the face if they choose to disregard all previous VC purchases with their next console.

I agree completely. If Nintendo agreed to honor VC purchases on all subsequent systems, I'd buy many, many more games. Like, for instamce, most N64 games released and many of the NES and SNES ones.

Yes, they would probably add support for the VC in their next system.
