oooo..id go with cell shaded IF...it remains on land and it looks as pretty as WW when u were crossing the bridge at the castle towards the end of the game and u could see hyrule. i dont want another one set in water to be honest. oh that would be sweet. i really must try and pick WW up again.
yeah cel shaded. though if WII2 gets a big injection fo horsepower so it could run something like crysis (ninty?...please?...no?...well i was just askin :P) then make a realistic looking zelda. ooo hyrule fields using the crytek 2 engine.....perty.
A mixture of both, the realistinc character designs with a cel shaded touch. similar to what no more heroes looks like but not really, you get it.tgh93_29
Yeah, like if realistic Zelda and Wind Waker Zelda's worlds collapsed because of the power of the Gods being tampered with. They then needed to cross between their worlds and save each other's world... That's be a nice twist...
Should the next Zelda be realistic (a la Twilight Princess) or cel-shaded (a la Wind Waker)?Hylian99
Cel-shaded with adult link. Why? Because Cel-shaded looks wwaaayy cooler than the normal looking polygons. But I doubt that would happen unless Miyamoto was going for a new 'darker' style. Keep in mind, bright colors and family friendly games are what sells on the Wii.
What if they made the Grand Theft Auto of Zelda games? My idea is: the game could be graphic, and appeal to older audiences. Why would it sell well? Because it would be so darn good. Kids would be asking their parents to buy it. Better yet it should be on the 360 or PS3. Legend of Zelda games are story driven and the controls of the Wii don't neccessarily add anything to the game. The sword swinging and gesture controls were a nice change but weren't vital. The only exception being aiming the claw shot and bow & arrow. But you can use auto lock for that. What I want to see is a Zelda game that is: 1) not linear (you can beat the dungeons in any order),
2) multiple endings,
3) free roaming environment where you can do more than gamble, go to a shooting gallery, and race your horse (or bird). I want to see some clever board games built into the game like zelda monopoly, Statego, Chess, or Settlers of Catan
4) they should bring back the sneak past the guards and sniping levels from Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time,
5) Link should be able to drink in the bars (or atleast be able to order some kind of beverage that refills his health (aside from one option of moo moo milk),
6) If link can speak, it should be in subtitled japanese,
7) There need to be much bigger towns (I want to be able to get lost in these towns!),
8) Bar fights!!
9) A real castle with: guard's sleeping quarters, a dungeon, the king's quarters, queen's quarters; a massive church of the Triforce that is decorated with gold (clouds and divine figures painted on the ceiling) with pictures of past Links and Zeldas painted on the stained glass; individual homes for every person in the city that you can visit; just a massive attention to detail
10) an orchestra or pianist that plays in the castle theme as you enter,
11) What if Link had Minstrels that followed him, other knights, and played a victory toon when he defeated a boss? That would be so satisfying.
Lol I think they should just stick to realistic. Cause I think Link gets morphed then he morphs back into realistic Link (he may be a shapeshifter).
"Hey Zelda want to see something cool?"
"Sure....wait please tell me your not going to morph all of us so we have gigantic heads and tiny bodys!!!! PLEASE GOD NO!"
I would like Cel-Shaded I prefer it also it can look gritty and be Cel-shaded look at No More Heroes, and Killer 7. If Nintendo uses the Character models from the Realistic looking Zelda's but have it Cel-shaded I think it would be perfect.Nintendo_Ownes7I agree.
WHAT IF IT WAS BOTH?!
Zelda games have always been about alternate dimensions (since aLttP). What if you started out with a realistic Zelda game but you had to go into the toon dimension.

That's actually a really good idea. Some of the boss enemies would look ridiculously cool in that style.

And what if the light world was all cel-shaded and bright while the dark world was all realistic and gritty and link becomes super old when he enters it.
