I've made some 2D to 3D convertions using 3D depth maps. You can watch them on your computer screen without the need of glasses. I don't think so, I saw it from like a foot away.

um i dont see nothing specialwow thats amazing... I can actually see it in 3D with that technique tho it is stressful on the eyes, for those who can't, cross ur eyes until u see four images, then bring them back until u see 3 and focus on the middle one and relax ur vision. *diclaimer* there is discomfort so take breaks between viewings.
this one is easiest for practice as provided by the link above.
Wow i can do this so easly now :P, and +1 for more pics :P

same here, i dont even have to go as far as seeing 4 images just 3, and those new sceenies are really impressive, the 3DS is a must buy for me.
I prefer parallel viewing since it's easier on the eyes. If you want to do it that way, simply put the right image on the left and vice versa (not a simple horizontal flip though).
Here's a Street Fighter II image designed for parallel viewing, made by someone at NeoGAF.
Just look into the distance until you see three images, then focus on the middle one.
Thats cool. cant really get the mgs one but the kid icarus shot looks epic. cant wait for the real deal
Only the MGS3D one worked for me, here:
The others just looked like they were moving from side to side. (understandably, they were converted, not true screens)
Honestly though, the TC's link with the tutorial worked for me. It makes my eyes feel weird after though, so best wait for the 3DS.
If this is anything how the 3DS will work, then you have a wide viewing angle.
Bah I remember seeing this in a thread before. I still can't do it. :cry:Aquat1cF1shI like your sig
Anyway, I can't do it. I had a rare sickness a few months ago and now I can't go cross eyed. My eyes just shake uncontrollably. But I can understand why it would work. Thanks for sharing
