I was wondering if Nintendo and Apple would ever join forces... by this i don't mean apple buying nintendo that would be impossible, but i was wondering about how both companies can benifit from this. These two companies are my favorite in portable electronics, from Gameboy, DS, and iPod to iPhone...i was wondering what the results could be if the ever merged to make a product.....

Two completely different directions when it comes to business.

I will admit that Wiis would FLY off the shelves even more because youd have iTunes on Wii for 250 dollars. Yeah it would be a huge consumer success, but will never happen.

It won't happen. Neither company has any reason to join forces. It wouldn't benefit either of them since they don't have the same business plans or goals. It just wouldn't make any sense.

Never say never, 15 years ago that's what people said when talking about seeing Sonic in a Mario game. It's a different anaolgy, but same concept. You never know.

well the psp just sucks. it takes an eternity to load a game, the psp's interface sucks, and who would spend 20$ on a umd movie that they can ONLY play on their psp?

well don't forget that Nintendo and Sony were having a deal about the time when the ps1 was being thought of...however the deal broke and sony and nintendo are now rivals in the gaming market, If apple ever went into gaming i would rather see them working with nintendo than becoming a fourth competitor in the industry. I have a feeling Steve Jobs won't let a huge industry (gaming) just pass by, my only concern is if apple ever joined Nintendo then the prices would just go overboard on products.... i don't wanna c that..

No, it's not the same thing.

Each company would be hurt badly from a pairing like that. There's no sense in damaging your company just to join forces. There's no amount of public relations speak that could ever be said to fix the train wreck from them together.

Apple are not in the business for quality. For example, they charge way too much on a Imac for what it's really worth for. You could built yourself a Mac clone with PC peripherals (because apple doesn't make it's own hardware, it's all pc programmed to work on the mac platform) for a fraction of the price and it would be better than a Imac. Ipod is also known to be over priced garbage that breaks often. I have an Iriver and this little guy had a rough time, still works like a charm.

Nintendo have a different approach: cheap quality. You all know that Nintendo's product are made to last. They don't copy, they innovate. Yes, they want to make money like everyone else, but you know it's gonna be quality when you go with this company. The 2 have different approaches, I would not be a good idea.
