Nintendo best customer service !!!!!! (My story)

So it was my 2 year wedding anniversary on the 25th...on the 26th my wife stood out side of bestbuy for 2 hours waiting to get a Wii..She did and surprised me:D...So yesterday i popped in Wii sports and bam disk read error..WTF....So I reset the system and then it worked. I get off work today and my friend comes over to check it out....Bam disk read error again, now this time on all my games....WTF (my friend laughing his A** off) Needless to say I tackled him to the ground, after the a** whooping I gave him I called Nintendo....(Now keep in mind that I have already gone through crap with my 360 having that replaced and let me tell you their customer service is rough. I mean my experience was not that bad but I had to ship my unit off for them just to replace it and send my their refurb back...) Anyway back to the story. I got a customer service agent on the phone and I explained the problem and told them that I kept hearing a clicking noise everytime I loaded a game then I got the error...The rep said "WOW this is rare, what is your address we will ship you out a brand new one then ship your defective one back. It should be there on Thursday or Friday of next week" "Holly ****" I said, your kidding me..the rep replied "no joke"...He got my info and I got a service number for it and that was that....God bless Nintendo...

Well, nah. Norway really :X I even pay twice as much for anything related to the system, games ETC. And TWO? people are going to fix it yay... I'll get it by 2008? and for the record. Norway is not IRAQ. lol!

well my experience wasnt quite as good as that but it was positive. wii was behaving a bit strangely (long beeps from the disc drive and quite a bit of vibration) so i called nintendo. the guy agreed that the long beeps were odd. i had to send it back myself which was annoying but they had a shiny new one back to me with all my VC game rights intact in 2 weeks. so im happy with the customer support there.

my only complaint is that if it wasnt for the VC, i could have brought it back to the shop and gotten a replacement that day. why oh why didnt nintendo allow ppl to transer there data to a different wii in case of a fault? the DS has it. i used it for transfering details from my DS to my lite. it retained all friend codes and everything. brilliant. why doesent wii have the same feature?

Those are the things we like to hear, game companies really looking out for there customers.

I know this is off-topic but I've never liked Microsoft ever since they decided not to replace my Zune (with a cracked Screen) which was a manufacturer's problem! :x

Nintendo does have the best customer service in the world, hands down. I often wonder why other companies don't follow Ninteno's lead on this one.cobrax80

Yeah, my Wii has been giving me problems too. It's been making a weird grinding sound whenever I put any of my Wii games in... And it's getting progressively worse. My wii is now louder than my 360! The games work fine, but it's the most irritating sound in the world. Should I call up Nintendo consumer support or what? Do you think they'll replace my Wii or just repair it??ColonialMustard
