Yeah it was a very boring press conference. I expected much more. For most of the time they just talked about ways to expand the market. And then they said with "Nintendogs, Wii Sports and such, we're just getting started" and I was like "NOOOOOOOO". And then they introduced Wii fit and it looks kind of lame.
I wanted Animal Crossing info, more Brawl info, more game info in general. Bleh I was dissapointed by the conference.

Then you failed to research what Nintendo's plan was with the Wii.
Oh no, don't go there. I researched for a whole year but I never expected it on this level. I thought it wouldn't go much beyond Wii Sports and Brain Age etc.

What are you talking about?
Nintendo made it very clear the direction they were going. You had the entire lifespan of the DS to see what direction Nintendo was going. You had the course they took with the Gamecube where they said they'd never go that route again.
So with all that you thought they'd make Wii Sports and then say ok we're done here?

No, I just didn't expect a piece of fitness equipment to be their showpiece of the calendar's biggest gaming event.

True. I want to play games in a different way, not exercise while playing games. My apartment has a year-round swimming pool for that. For the first time in a very long while, I'm upset with Ninty's conference. That means a lot coming from this blind fanboy. No, I just didn't expect a piece of fitness equipment to be their showpiece of the calendar's biggest gaming event.

Well there's 3 things going there.
1. That piece of hardware is going to make many more Wii users worldwide. In the scheme of things that's big because it means that the devs will see the Wii as the largest platform and bring many more games to it.
2. Nintendo also has the Tokyo game show to do it's thing at
3. Nintendo has been quiet about a lot of things, that's just how it works for them and so far it's making them the greatest console maker this round.
Ive got DATES! Well.. Monthes.. And Dates on Nintendo Products.. Streight from Nintendo themselves!

I think people are complaining far too much about the conference. We are getting some killer games for the hardcore crowd, Metroid 3, Batallion Wars 2, Super Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros Brawl, Mario Strikers Charged, Resi Evil, at least you have Super Paper Mario and Trauma Center in the states, we have neither yet :(
Wii Fit is going to sell amazingly, I think it has the potential to be one of the biggest selling games of next year - no joke. The Wii Zapper doesnt look at good as last years prototype but the promo video looked awesome so I cant complain too much. Also confirmation of Mario Kart Wii so close to all the games coming out in the last half of this year - I sure feel happy to be a Nintendo gamer, why isnt everyone else?
If the big games arent coming out until next year *or late next year* then why not save them for next year?
And remember we might find out something tomorrow, last year they decided to show smash behind closed doors to press.Â
also when he was talking about amrio cart he said somehting like how many online playeers can be at one time, youl have to wait a little while longer for that answer and then he didnt mention itflainsoul
maybe hes talking about TGS?

Wii fitness was announced around 2 months after Wii sports :|If the big games arent coming out until next year *or late next year* then why not save them for next year?

I'm mad because they are even trying to make mario kart for non gamers. Remember when he said that begginers will be bumper to bumper with vets? I was think why the hell did i put so many hours into mario kart? What's the point?harleyrulesall
If you paid attention to what he said you'd hear that he meant it's coming with a wheel that anyone who picks it up knows how to use.

Yeah, that annoyed me too...but think about it. It's not really possible unless the game cheats for you or something. It's probably just kind of like how the players in last place get more powerful items or whatever.
I don't really know what people were expecting out of this conference. There are still demos to be played and games to be announced ect. I personally didn't even bother to follow E3 before today. You'll just hype yourself up if you do that.

Wii fitness was announced around 2 months after Wii sports :|I think I remember the rumour, but I'm just pissed that was their major thing about the show. I wish they could of at least spent some time with Mario Kart Wii which looked great but flew past too quick. Actually this fitness thing kinda goes back even further, there was a game on the NES called Family Trainer with a similar concept that also used a mat to jog on.
