sorry im a bit confused about all this. I just bought a 3DS and haven't really messed around with the marketplace yet. but im assuming 3DS owners can purchase and run DSi ware? Also the pricing using points is a bit odd, I thought they were getting rid of it and just using a regular marketplace currency. do i have to buy nintendo points to buy DSi ware games only, or can i use those points on future 3DS ware?

Nobody seems sure yet how it's all going to work on the 3DS. You WILL be able to buy DSiWare games on the 3DS, but the 3DS can't connect to the shop yet, that's coming with a firmware update in May. We'll find out more about how it all works and whether it uses proper monetary values or the old Nintendo points system then.

From my understanding, you will be able to Download DSi Ware games off of the Eshop, since it will have a "DSiware" section. Currently though, the Eshop is not avialable until May. I also heard that the ability to transfer DSiware games to the 3DS will be made available threw a firmware update either at the same time as the eshop launches or sooner.

The user manual said the eShop won't use Nintendo Points, it will use regular money transactions or something like that. So pay by credit card I guess.

I usually don't whine about the weekly downloads, but this is THE WORST WEEK EVER. Nothing for the Wii. And we had enough of solitaire games and stupid camera applications.
