Not really. I'm fourteen and I've seen plenty of guys and girls my age playing Nintendo DSi's and such. =/

Some from the older crowd too. But really, when are you going to find time to play one in public anyway?

A lot of people our age play the ds. A psp may be more hardcore, but the ds is undeniably great and has games for every age. Hope this helps!

You can't be serious. There is no age limit on video games. And even if there was you'd still be fine since you're only 14.

I turned 16 back in march and always play my DS. I never play a psp however because most of the games suck {in my opinion}. Except for stuff like god of war, grand turismo, and ff, those seem good.

I'm 15 and I play. two reasons why: 1. It has really amazing games 2. I missed out on Chrono trigger, and Final Fantasy II(IV). Now if only they can make a 3D remake of Final fanatasy III(VI).

I'm 19 and I have a DS, there's nothing wrong with it, lots of adults do, it's not just a kids system. So no you won't look stupid, and who cares what others think about what hand-held game system you play anyway.

My boyfriend is 30 and he loves his DS. My mom is 49 and she loves my DS. My sister is 15 and she loves her DS. I'm 21 and I love my DS. You're 14? Trust me, you shouldn't have a problem with it. If anyone makes fun of you, they are just simply pathetic, because they don't know what they are missing out on. DS. KICKS. ASS.

I'm sixteen, I don't look like a loser (and I'm not at all), and I walked into Gamestop, and asked the guy how to get my Deoxys without hesitation. I even did it on two cartridges.

When I went to get my DSi at midnight of launch, EVERYONE besides me there was 30-45. No joke.

Fourteen is a pretty young age to be aiming for a 'mature' handheld. I turn 18 in November and I wholeheartedly love my DSi more than I have my (ex) PSP. I think that each system tailors to different wants, neither are more 'mature'. Of course, this is opinion.

I had a feeling this thread would turn into a "How Old Are You? I'm 17..". On topic, I think it makes no sense not to buy a DS just because you think its not "cool" enough. What matters is the game library it has and if the games appeal to what you're looking for.

Video games don't have an age limit as long as you enjoy playing them who cares. I'm 20 and play the DS mostly for the Mario games and GTA Chinatown Wars.

pretty much the same with my girlfriend, friends, and family(all the same age.) there is this guy at school with a PSP, who just sits and plays alone with it, while me and mates have a great time with mario kart, zelda, pkmn, ecc..(multiplayer), so no, u won't look like a baby.

Why does everyone think everything has some sort of age limit? If you enjoy it, do it. :|

Does anybody else find it ironic that the DS is labeled as the "kiddy" portable, but it has far more adult players than the PSP...? Why do you give a flying flip what other people think anyways - if you enjoy it, play it. --29 and play my DS anywhere I'm sitting with nothing to do for more than 10 minutes

what the hell? since when there's an age limit? if you think it's fun, then it's perfect for you. me and a friend both play the DS, and he has to use his sister's pink DS. he doesnt mind, as long as he enjoys it. and we're both 17.

Will you be judged for playing a DS? Short answer: yes. There is a certain crowd of people who see the DS as little more than a child's toy andwill never sway from their from-the-hip opinion that only kids play it(while conveniently overlooking the fact that most video gamersin general have always beenkids).

However, these people are ignorant. I'm 30 years old and in my opinion the DS is the best system to come out of this generation. Welcome to the fold.

Theirs still ways to fix that if it is something like Cataracs (spelling?) because I know people who had that surgery to get them removed and after they could see better then somebody who is half their age.

If you're worried about what others think of you, you're not too old - you're too young for a DS.

By the way, I'm 60 and don't care WHAT other people think of my game-playing.

Well, haven't you ever seen those DS commercials? Usually you see older people (like people in there mid 20's or even 30's and older) playing...so I guess there's nothing wrong with it :P

I guess there isn't I'm 18 and i like the FPS on the Ds. just that there isn't many lol.

I did find it just a lil disurbing seeing a 22 year old guy playing pokemon. I tried platinum and it just wasn't the same as when i was little with gold/silver.

But whatever they make M titles for ds so dont worry obviously theres no age limit.
