guys, i just want to ask you if you have encountered this thing, the white thing on the touch screen, is this normal? or a factory defect? its not causing me any problems but im kinda worried, is this normal?

Oh man wtf... That's not normal, you'll have to get it replaced. And... eww looks nasty to be honest with you, I don't know how you can stand that.

Yeah not sure what the is but I don't think that is normal. Though from the angle you took the picture at it looke like it is just the light from the backlight, let me check mine and see if I can't do the same thing... Nope looks like something is wrong with yours, bummer :(

That looks normal to me. Theres one on the top and one on the right, its the light that makes the screens glow so you can play in the dark. Every DS has it, just go on the highest brightness and look on the top or right side. GBASP have it on the bottom, but the DS lite one is just an improved version.

It looks alot like glare to me :( does it stop you from playing, i.e. is the screen actually unresponsive? I would only replace it if it was starting to effect gameplay...

it doesnt really affect gameplay, everything works perfect, its just that im really worried if it will cause some issues , but i hope not, i went to the store, and he said it was normal, and its the backlight thing, but im really worried, =( i live in asia and nintendo doesnt have any support for asia stuff, so it sucks =( anyways thanks guys!

It's the backlight. If you are really that worried go back to the store that said it was normal and ask to look at another ds and compare the two. If that doesn't make you feel better I don't know what to tell you.
