should nintendo make a nintendo dsi exclusive: super mario bros. or the first ever portable super smash bros.
i say super smash bros. what do you choose?

Nintendo is never going to make an exclusive SSB game nor will they ever make an exclusive DSi retail game.Rocky32189
Eventually they will. The DSi has had a lot more pre-orders than the DS Lite. With Nintendo announcing retail DSi games, they would be stupid not to jump on the cash cow.
Money talks, & Nintendo can make heap loads with making a Super Smash Bros DS. Even if it doesn't turn out as great as Brawl, it'll still make lots of money. Even making a 64 remake, it'll still make millions, people would just want to have a portable Super Smash Bros with multi player feature.
may happen , i got a dsi my self,, it is awsomer, ,
its like a wii in the palm of your hands the channels and such ,, , nintendo im waiting for a news and weather channel then id be set , lol , ,
it has a good camera better then my camera because it doesnt have glare even thogh my other ones a 4 mp camera, this is only a 3 mp or ,03 mp or somthing it does show better,
for some reason , but theres no flash like on my digital camera,
i got 1000 free points, downloaded wario ware snap-i hate it, oh well and the one i like , its a puzzle tetris like game , ,
I would have to pick SSB DS out of those two...that would be pretty cool (especially as a DSi exclusive!)
From a business point of view, releasing either one of those titles as a DSi exclusive would be a waste of money. Even in 2 or 3 years time at least 80% of DS owners will own either the original DS or the DS light and that's around 90 million customers you're refusing to sell the game to. A massive profit lost.Raiko101While your point of view is correct, the information you have is wrong. The DSi is selling like hot-cakes, the shops are all sold out (pre-orders and stuff) and there are news everywhere (including on this site) that the DSi is outselling even the PSP, slowly the DSi will eat most of the share of the market as they progress and lite users will be lost in the forgotten voids of the time (muhaha). And besides, the DSi is a chance to open the DS to games that the DS couldn`t handle normally (disgaea 2 for example), if the price drops and some DSi exclusives start popping out, chances are that the ones that are not buying a DSi now will buy later (besides they are offering promotions for trading your old DS). Games such as super smash bros would run better on the DSi than the plain DS, and ninty already announced the DSi exclusive cards and DSi enhanced cards (check the thread topic for more info). Ok, so to avoid turning this into a DSi discussion topic, lets go back to the main point. I believe super smash bros as a DSi exclusive would be great.
So yeah, a long time ago this forum was flooded with "they should make a SSB game for the DS". It took forever and a few mods to make it stop. Now that they have launched a new/re-issue of almost the same machine is this what we have to look forward to?
If so expect the mods to put back up in the sticky that the "they should make a" threads will belocked. Sorry for seeming so cynical I just thought i'd put that out there.
super mario brothers
because if SSBDS is dsi Exclusive there will be HEAPS of CRITISISIM
SUPA_GLUSTEE
Agreed
i looked all over the place for super smash bros. ds/dsi and found alot of comments about it(DS/DSI) not being able to handle SSB , and well...that's BS, the DS is 90% able to handle SSB on it, and DSI 110% , look I think they should make either a 64 remake with more stagesm,characters, game modes, items(not removing ANY), and Stage Builder ( maybe a melee-like adventure mode but nothing to awesome or else the console versions would start making less since there are 100million DS owners) , at last they should make it a DS game, and DSI-enhanced game.
oh and control schemes are simple,
walking= D-pad
running= double tap
attack= A button
special= B button
Smash Attacks= Hold L button + direction + A
grab= Hold L button + B
guard= R
Jump = up / Y/ X button
crouch = down
fall through platform= hold L + down
Final Smash = L + R / Select
Taunts= Touch Screen
i think it'd be a poor idea to limit either to the DSi (even though i own one) but i'de rather see super mario bros than SSB. i LOVE ssb games, but mostly for the multiplayer aspect, which simply wouldnt be as good on a handheld. i mean, how often do you have 4 people together that all own a DSi and have the same game? i SMB game, however, i would love to see, as its meant to be singleplayer, which is what handheld systems are more suited for.

And the Cash Cow is the DS/Lite with the 100millions + userbase. Not DSi. Hence why any exclusive unless on DSiWare is out of the question, especially a big one like SSB.[QUOTE="Rocky32189"]Nintendo is never going to make an exclusive SSB game nor will they ever make an exclusive DSi retail game.flowersjfI agree
And I disagree. Although I would be very surprised if they made a game like this DSi-exclusive. If they did, it would be something much less popular.

Why would that be? Dsi sold 3 million+ units since September ( in japan) It should at least be dsi enhanced, like downloading user-created levels and saving it on an sd card, or special features to buy in the dsi shop[QUOTE="Luigi12901"][QUOTE="flowersjf"] I agreegiga_yeti

I agree with u.Dsi-Exclusive would lose many sales, but it would still sell significantlyWhat I'm so tired of on these boards is when someone asks a question about a potential games and they want people to share their ideas on it but everyone just says "no no no it'll never happen, I'm stooped" and we just wana talk about what would be cool in a game not if it'll really ever happen
/rant
Anyways, on topic, a SSB DSi exclusive would give me the push I need to buy a DSi. That would be a dealbreaker for me.
oh, poor thing. Kraze(y) can't take it anymore. :P Its pretty much how people react at any forums, if you go to disgaea forums and say that disgaea 2 can be ported to the DS, they will throw tomatoes at you.What I'm so tired of on these boards is when someone asks a question about a potential games and they want people to share their ideas on it but everyone just says "no no no it'll never happen, I'm stooped" and we just wana talk about what would be cool in a game not if it'll really ever happen

Lol but... but it can be can't it ? Also the name's KAZE as in the japanese word for wind. Lol this is the second time someones made that mistake today haha but its cool i can understand it :P but you really are right. When I left these forums the year before last the jerk to cool people ratio wasn't so large. But to be on topic, when the DSi has sold more units than the DS Lite then MAYBE we'd see some full game DSi exclusives.Please Log In to post.
