Nintendo Getting Tedious

This just flat out can't happen like this... I'm refering to SSBB being pushed back. First of all this was supposed to be a launch game. We have now pushed it back many times before we land it in February.. What's that? Oh I'm sorry I hear that there is word it will be on the shelves July 23rd! I will never buy another Wii game in my life.Nintendo has really put me over the edge for the past 6 months. My Wii hasn't been used since July 30th. If anyone else is sick and tired of this bull **** please share your thoughts.

It does suck that SSBB is being pushed back into February, but think about it. Most games struggle to release at the Holidays, since it garners the most immediate sales. Nintendo doesn't care about that.

SSBB will be an absolutely excellent game. If not, I'm not the only one who will be completely distraught. They need time to make it as good as it can be, so they will, and we will buy it, and we will love it.

My beef with PS3 was a price issue for a somewhat poor selection of exclusives. The 360 has its bugs, that's definite.

But back to the point, if you say the Wii "fails on all fronts," return it. Someone else might really want one and can't get one because of the shortage. The Wii doesn't fail. They make damn sure it doesn't, which is why we have bumps in release dates.

Why haven't you picked up Metroid Prime 3? It's a good game. Sure it might not be as spectacular as Halo. I'm sick of these fairweather Nintendo fans who act like Zelda and Smash Bros. are the only games out there for the Wii. Obviously Mario Galaxy, Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 and 2, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Mario Party 8, Mario Stikers Charged, Nights: Journey of Dreams, No More Heroes, Zack and Wiki, and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics aren't considered worthwhile. Oh right there's not a bunch of Halo and GTA clones. Go download some virtual console games, try playing something that's offbeat. Just because SSBB was delayed doesn't mean there's nothing to play.

You know what, delays can be good. Would you rather Nintendo shove it out now and have it be full of bugs and lag time. Maybe they want to tweak some things. Make the Wii controls work better and maybe improve the online play.

At any rate, you got to love how people call the Wii and/or Nintendo tedious, having terrible graphics, poor gaming library, no HD, bad online, etc., etc. Amazing how such a system is owning the gaming market, eh? That must mean the 360 is worse off than I thought! :?

Seriously, though, just because there's no games YOU like, currently for the Wii, doesn't mean the system is automatically terrible. If that were the case, then in my eyes.. the Microsoft has had a terrible system from the start.. what with not having an RPG or Platformer genre to call their own, or any genre outside of FPS/Shooter, anyway.

I agree with you Nick you should get a 360 they have tons of good games out right now and who knows when Nintendo will finally have good games out. And just in general it seems like microsoft listens to what customers have to say more like the wii not having a good online and not having an online that has chat or a headset is a joke. The Wii is good to have on the side though cause the motion controls are fun and there are some games that u can't play else where but i wouldn't depend on it for your gaming needs espiacally if u like compative multiplayer like me.Baller4444

I agree that the delay might cause some problems with some gamers. With the extra money lieing around they might get a second/thrid system (gasp!). You still will get to play the game, and it will be much better than a release that was done 'on time'. To be perfectly honest, at the N64 era I ditched nintendo... (full details in my blog). I'm back Nintendo and I don't regret it. The wii has the most 'different' in it this time around and hopefully the X720 (or whatever) will be back-compatible and I won't miss anything (see blog before you try to slap down this part). The worst thing you could do at this point is sell your wii because when it does get the games you want you will have to buy it again or miss out.

Personally, I think having two or three different gaming systems is a Win-Win for me and the industry. "Extremist Console Loyalty" only makes you miss out on the biggest bang for your buck.

Yes, tha game has been put back, but (hopefully) that just means the game will be perfect when it comes out.

Halo is a FAR cry from perfect, let alone any PS3 game so far.

I'm glad someone else sees what Nintendo is doing. They basically released a Console version of DS and have everyone believing it's next gen.

I bought the Wii just becaue of Hype alone, no other reason. I also bought Halo for the same reason. After beating Zelda and more recently Metroid I cannot even look at the system. I'm so sick of this Kiddie crap it's not even funny.

Look at this Holiday season, both PS3 and 360 have the big guns coming out Mass Effect, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Lynch and Kane, Army of Two, Assasins creed etc... and the Wii has what? Another couple of Game Cube, PS2 and even PSP ports? Pathetic.

I own all 3 systems right now. But i think I'll sell the Wii so I could buy all the good games coming for the PS3 and 360. The lack of quality software for Nintendo is ridiculous.
