excellent, hopefully some big newshazbazz
I hope so too, but nintendo seems to always announce an event, we hope for big news, nintendo doesn't deliver big news.
It says they're gonna showcase their october-december lineup. That's unfortunate cause we pretty much already know what's coming this year, I was hoping they would finally show us things to come for next year. Atleast we will see some 08 3rd party games at TGS so it's still good.
[QUOTE="l8bitz"]I'm pretty sure they are going to announce the voice recognition in th Wiimote.dinofan01
the wiimote cant have voice recogntion with out an addon. that would be hard to do since most good games need a nunchuck
Then it's good that this is in our Wiimotes...
http://www.wii-volution.com/wii-news/the-microphone-chip-inside-the-wii-remote.html
i remeber reading that the big unveil is gonna be something the wii can do which has not yet been announced a hidden secret as it were.
this may all be bull tho as its most likely gonna be something like being able to change the color or your miis trousers! lol
the wiimote with voice recognition would be amazing, but i doubt it has a hidden microphone cos why would ninty be patenting head sets?
i think the sept surprise will be a guaranteed let down, unless theres some amazing news that the wii can hober in mid air! lol

Big companies like that take out patents all the time on things they never use, just so that they can if they might ever need to (e.g. the nintendo phone).
Also check out here. The Wiimote DOES have voice recognition, it's just not been utilized untill now. That WOULD be a big announcemnet, and secret that would fit the timeframe.
Who cares really...Nintendo builds up a lot of hype but then all we get is more casual stuff! Wii Fitness and stuff like that...
I didn't get a Wii to play casual stuff, I can do that with a PC and an Internet connection. And why does it take so damn long to release games in PAL territories??
Please announce Brawl being online.ACDC19
And maybe an outline of what they are bringing to the TGS. I really want to know whether to get my hopes up or not.

Mainly because they have to be translated into several different langauges first.

Nevermind they aren't going to TGS.
I then expect some games announced. We have had nothing really announced.

Oh yeah I forgot that they aren't going to tgs. If they can make strikers be online there is no excuse that Brawl can't be online.[QUOTE="pedro_magalhaes"]Who cares really...Nintendo builds up a lot of hype but then all we get is more casual stuff! Wii Fitness and stuff like that...

Namely the French wanted everything released to be in their language and made the Euro trade laws translate and release a all Euro language version.
So blame the French as the Canadian gamers are now learning.
I think we'll hear a little about what's going on with some of the higher ups like Perrin Kaplan and George Harrison. I also think we'll find out about Nintendo Power's fate as Nintendo is licensing it off somewhere.
The big news, and what I'm most interested in, will be details on the Wii Zapper. We'll get a release date and Duck-Hunt will be announced. :)

I've been wanting a Duck Hunt game for the wii for a long time now. It would be sweet if this happened.

What? Are you xenophobia or what? Do you hate French? French is my first language and it could be offensive.
Apple and Nintendo holding a press conference on the same day... coincidence?Arkam_Asylum
I can see it now, "Apple and Nintendo present the Nintendo Ipod. Widescreen, Touchscreen, Tilt Sensors, Cover Flow, Intuitive User Interface, Movies and Musicon the 80 GBHard Drive, Great Third-Party support, and launch games include Legend of Zelda: TheEmerald of Doom."
Yeah, that's what's going down on Weds.
I guess they finally set the date for when they'll drop the bomb about Smash Bros. not having online play...Rocky32189
I can't see them announcing that they're cutting online from SSBB (if they do) at a press conference... they'll probably just quietly let it slip sometime. Of course, having online in the game would be preferable to both of those options... :?

Doubt it, but who knows. I think it's going to be mainly focused on the Ipod line-up, but maybe they'll throw in an anouncement about when the games are going to be released.
