with nintendo releasing more and more games that are not the specific ip's many of us want(kirby, starfox, donkey kong, etc) is seems as though many of these will not be released this generation. what do you think of them combining more than one one these into a game? if so, which ones do you think would work well together??

When it comes down to it, i think nintendo has given up on some of them. They live on in our hearts as classics, but when it comes down to it, they dont want to see starfox become sonic. I dont think putting kirby in a starfox game would be good at all. Maybe someday, they will make new games, but they would have to be back to their roots. Starfox was never better then N64. DK should go back to SNES sytle. And kirby should be a 2-d platformer. Look at how good MegaMan 9 is compared to its recent entries. A good game is a good game, no matter the graphics. IMO, i have no complaints with the games nintendo is bringing to the Wii. Been too many to get as it is, only thing i would like to see would be a new starfox, but as awesome as Metriod-other M looks and how good punchout is, i think Nintendo is doing a great job. Its the 3rd parties that cant keep up.

earlier this day gamespot sent me an update. Iwata doesnt plan on having a next generation that soon. read: we still have a lot of time before we can state that a certain series wont get a new game this gen. every year they bring back (at least) one (did anyone really expect golden sun DS?). let's just wait and see.

*sigh* it hasn't been 3 years, in what way has it been indicated that there wont be a Star Fox or F-Zero? Hell its possible to see Kirby, Star Fox, and F-zero all in one year. you people act like Nintendo release only one game every 2 years. Just because it didn't come out in the first 3 years of the consoles life, doesn't mean it wont come out.

I think nintendo should be ready to move on and create new ips, not all of their ips need to come back, they have had some great years and holding onto them is great but creating new ones may tarnish the old ones... also a lot of them don't work in the way they did before, like star fox... it's premise, and it's mechanics would seem redundant in todays gaming world, but back then it was pure fun and it was pretty much amazing wot was happening... there is no point in resurrecting that. Kirby as well, it was probably one of the best platformers ever made, but the jump to 3d has not been kind to it, why bother to keep trying? especially when nintendo can create something new that will be awesome on a 3d plain. I also don't think combining games is a good idea unless it's for something like mario kart or super smash bros, something that makes sense to be an all round cameo fest. I kinda wish nintendo would make an all nintendo mario kart, rather than just mario
