Nintendo isn't going to release another Mario platforming game for the Wii?

How many more could we need? If there was one more announced at e3, I would have been really mad. I liked Super Mario Galaxy 2, and New Super Mario Bros Wii, but I personaly had enough for now. E3 for Nintendo this year got several titles other than Mario. I'm glad titles other than Mario are being worked on by Nintendo.

Thoughts?

Honestly, I think SMG2 will be the last of our Mario Platformers for the Wii this generation. Two big 3D Mario titles and a 2D one seem like more than enough.

Hopefully, now they can focus on some of their other franchises.

Yeah Nintendo released plenty of Mario goodness on the Wii.I am currently playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and I must admit this has been a great title far better then the first but after I beat it completely i'll be satisfied.Im excited to see them work on New Super Mario Bros 3ds. I saw a vid of the lil demo things on the 3ds and I saw it.Even tho it wasnt actual gamplay it looked nice I could see some of the 3d effects on it.

It was unusual for them to release a second one. On the Nintendo 64 and Nintendo Gamecube there was only one Mario platformer. I can't see them making another one for the Wii.

Another one would be overkill, I agree. However, I do not blame Nintendo for striking while the iron is hot. The wii is ultra-successful and it's a great time to produce first-party software.

I highly doubt there will be another one. 3 Mario platformers on one console is enough. Although it is sad to know that we wont be getting a new 3d mario platformer for a very long time:(

How bout a Star Fox game instead?

A REAL ONE. None of this walking on the ground stuff.

I dont think we will see another one since weve gotten 3 solid ones for the wii, and if anything they may just hold off till there next system is launched whenever that may be.

They hit the perfect note as they knew they would with Super Mario Galaxy 2. There gonna finish off with some other franchises, then its of to the next system.

I think we've had enough Mario on the Wii. Now hopefully Nintendo will start working on some new IPs or maybe revive an old series like Star Fox or F-Zero, although I wouldn't be surprised if, by now, they don't just wait and release those as launch titles for Nintendo's next console.

actually... i wouldnt mind another mario in a couple years... as long as its a bran new one.. no nsmbwii and no galaxy.

I think we already have enough of those. Even if I don't think there is such a thing as enough Mario platformers. :P
