There are some good classics available on VC, but they need to make a new service on Wii Shop so that smaller developers can make games for Wii, just like XBLA games and PSN games.
Is there anywhere detailing this further? And why would they call it Wiiware when they already use the term in the Wii Shop for their channel downloads?

What I find helps new gamers like yourself is to go around this site's Wii section and maybe check out a few other site's Wii offerings. That way you can learn what is coming out, what games are on the way, and how the system and channels are set up.

However, I cannot for example, go to the Xbox 360 boards and say "Xbox really needs Banjo Kazoie." Why not? Firstly, because I would sound like an idiot. What should I have searched for? " Wiiware"? I didn't even know that was what they called it. "Original downloadable games" yields only this topic as a result.
wiiware is a new channel coming out this spring where you will be able to download original games. bomberman, and a final fantasy game will be put on the wiiware channel and you can buy them with wii points. Currently the wiiware section of the wiishop channel is used for buying channels, but it will soon be able to download original games,....i'm pretty sure its supposed to be late Q1 2008
