With so many game company's doing hd remakes Nintedno needs to jump on the band wagon. Wind Waker and TP don't look to well on a LCD tv. Metroid Trilogy turned out good. I want to replay the Game Cube Zeldas but they look horrible on my tv.

No. I don't really get all this HD remakes. No one is complaining black and white movies are still black and white, yet it's imported that every game series is remade in HD? That's spending resources for quick bucks as far as I'm concerned. With so many game company's doing hd remakes Nintedno needs to jump on the band wagon.

I tried playing the games on a PS2 hooked up to my TV and they looked like dirt. I'm looking forward to Shadow of the Collosus and ICO also. I grew up playing my nes on a black and white tv I much prefered color. With so many game company's doing hd remakes Nintedno needs to jump on the band wagon.

It's a decent option for those who never had a GC/PS2 but want to play these games that are so highly rated by others. It also saves people like me the ballache of finding all the necessary cables, controllers etc and having the original look like crap on my HDTV. Plus achivevements are a nice bonus too.

...Except that anyone who owns a Wii can play Wind Waker and Twilight Princess on it, because of backwards compatibility.
For that matter, anyone that buys a Wii U will be able to play Twilight Princess on it too.
I don't get the "HD remakes" thing either. There's no point in releasing it JUST for HD. Metroid Prime Trilogy made sense because of the new control they added. Simply upgrading graphics seems like a waste of time nad money, IMO.

Cleans up the visuals, adds widescreen support, and better framerate. Theres now a point.
If I don't have them, I'd gladly pay for them.

Not to mention the ability to play them both on Wii-U. Sure, Twilight Princess is already playable on it, but Wind Waker isn't.And they couldeven add the option to use motion controls or not for each. And maybe make use of the the Wii U screen for the inventory. There are plenty of reasons. They also take up space on the release calendar, I would much rather be playing a new game made for the system than waiting an extra 3-5 months for the HD port to simmer at retail. I don't support the unnecessary cash grabs, because HD doesn't make a game any better.HD remakes take little effort and won't take away from any future game development. Wind Waker, yes, that would look amazing! TP... needs to go away :P It's really one of the uglier muddy looking games I've playedWreckEm711Well you must have only played like 3 games in your life, because TP looks great.
Yeah, I actually think Twilight Princess is one of the prettiest games on the Wii. And the second prettiest prettiest Zelda, (Fist being Wind Waker). Both still look very good. I really don't think either game needs HD, but there are other reasons to bring them to Wii-U, as i've said earlier, and HD probably would be a nice bonus.

If you close your eyes, yeah. TP looks like crap, unless you're comparing it to minecraft :?
I would rather they put their resources into new games.Marka1700Same here. Not saying WW or TP wouldn't look better but they both support 480p and TP with widescreen so they shouldn't look that bad on your TV.

All that stuff is cosmetic, though. It doesn't change the actual gameplay any.Well the HD remakes of PSP games to PS3 are a welcome addition because most of those games are console games to begin with. So I'm excited about that. The rest of the games being brought are titles people may have missed (except maybe the GoW franchise).
Nintendo has kind of done that by simply allowing the Wii to be backwards compatible. The PS3 is not (not since the beginning at least). So that's why Sony is presumably bringing these great titles back. Nintendo has already covered that issue.
Yeah, but the Wii-U isn't compatablewith Gameube games. And games from the older generations start to get harder to find, so ports are very helpful.Well the HD remakes of PSP games to PS3 are a welcome addition because most of those games are console games to begin with.
