Looks like no Zelda trailer.
Personally, I'm a little disappointed with the first party lineup this year. So this is a disappointment. Oh well, next time.

You really thought there would be a Zelda trailer? You'd think people would learn after all these years...
DON'T HYPE YOURSELF UP. If you do, you deserve to be disappointed and it's nobody's fault but your own. Sorry.
I never thought there would be a Zelda trailer. Rumors suck. You really thought there would be a Zelda trailer? You'd think people would learn after all these years...

Ehh, it doesn't really bother me. I heard about that Zelda trailer rumor, but I wasn't actually expecting one. After Nintendo's E3 '08, I learned not to hype myself up too much.

Agreed. I really don't see what the big deal is with all of this. It's like people always seem to take any small rumor or rumbling and run miles with it. I think Nintendo is confident in what it has for the rest of the year, so I can't say I see the point in another showing or major public announcement. We'll see what we see when it's time to see it. :P
with all that is good in this world, i must reccomend you try to not ignite any hype. The wii forum gets hyped up every year for even the most bogus rumors, and afterwards everyone is just left depressed.Well they did atleast show some concept art at E3 2009, so maybe a new Zelda trailer is no big surprise, plus a lot of people are expecting one.
Yes, I am attempting to ignite the Zelda hype :Ptrugs26

Slight correction:
ALMOST everyone. :P You do have a few that take these things very loosely and isn't disappointed when the hype isn't even close to being justified, but yeah... the last thing the Wii community needs are more bogus rumors and speculations.
dont they literally say "no new suprises" before every big meeting? we just had this conversation before E3, and before just about every other conference. the fact that one guy says no doesnt mean they wont find some way to twist it so they end up having a meeting, they are kinda sneaky that waygarrett_duffmanlol yeah, you know saying "Expect a big surprise" sort of takes away the surprise part wouldn't you say? But yeah actually expecting some kind of Zelda trailer and being disappointed by this is kind of silly. Anyway I'm not surprised that Nintendo doesn't feel the need to spend a bunch of money to have a summit this year. They have Mario as thier holiday release which will sell itself, and with this recession hitting the industry hard, Nintendo doesn't need to make people forget about the 3rd party offerings even more than they already do, by hyping thier own games.
If you look at the article, they seemed to be meaning no big surprise releases for the holidays so we could still get a trailer from a 2010 game, just no surprise releases.
Wait, does this mean they're not going to hold that event in October? Like the one last year where they announced a bunch of stuff?
Personally I am quite satisfied with its showing this year, but I think none of the games they announced really matters in most people's minds because they wanted to see Zelda. Instead they got the announcement of three new Mario games one of which had multiplayer and one that was a sequal to most people's game of the year and a new Metroid game being developed by Team Ninja. Not to mention those were just the big announcements, but people still cry foul because they didn't show a Zelda trailer.
