Nintendo owns a BASEBALL Team

Did you guys know that Nintendo owns the Seatle Mariners (MLB)? I had no idea, and I am a huge baseball fan as well as a videogame fan. I was watching Sportscenter tonight and they mentioned that.

Crazy.... any hardcore Nintendo fans not know that as well?

Pretty much every trivia page on Nintendo mentions the ownership of the Seattle Mariners by the former President of Nintendo.

Also Howard Lincoln if you know who he is you should be proud to be a longtime Nintendo fan also manages the team.

 The Seattle Mariners playoffs are shown on Japanese tv for instance which is why if you look at the stadium they play you will notice billboard ads in Japanese.

I believe that's correct. They have ownership in the team, but are not the sole owners.

Cool I played on the Marineers(not the professnal team of coruse) but I wasn't as good as when I played for the Orieols.

Yes it's only part.  I live up here, and I know a few people who work at Nintendo.
