I think it's more a high score for that specific game
    Erm..this was filed in 2001. Old old news that probably got released just today. It's cool to be foward thinking, but Nintendo doesn't need to telephone how cool it is, just voice a text message to all your Wii friends with a pic of how you looked when you beat their uber high score as you upload your up-to-date stats online. Ah technology.

Same here, I need a Phone soon and I would rather buy a Nintendo phone then a Phone from a company I don't really care about I like Nintendo so I would buy this aslong as it uses Verizon.
I'll just stick to the Ds and my Cell Phone. unless they made it all PDA like. like everything thats in the ds + everything thats in a decent cell phone mixed with blackberry like media. I'd jump on that train fo sho. Still cool nonetheless

It could be an attachment to the Wii or DS. But I doubt Nintendo will go into such a competitive market while it has so much oon its plate at the momment.
Aw, what? Nintendo is making phone patents now? I think they should stick to video games (and card games) because thats what I love them for. It's cool if they have some extras for their game systems (Wii channels) but I don't think they should be spending time trying to make a whole new system that's only partly video game related (the Mario sprite screens).

Wow, quoting special features on the Clerks X DVD, kudos. This phone looks ridiculous, maybe if they were to just make the D pad part of the number pad to make it more compact, maybe even flip or slide open to make it appeal to the general public, maybe, just maybe then it would be more realistically feasible.
I've just shelled out for Nintendo central heating in my house. It's the same as normal central heating, only it's wireless, touch-screen and backwards compatible with any old-school central heating system (for a nominal fee).
