Why don't the prices ever slash down?

For example, AC, MKDS and MPH are still in between 35~40 USD and they've been out forever.

Well you do still bring up an excellent point. LOZ:TP is still 60$, and it's been out since november.

And smash bros melee (A GC launch game) was still 40$ when the wii was released.

its because its a nintendo game. they dont want to bring the price down because they know its a great game. most nintendo games are pretty good.imo.idk and other companies drop their price's down because they arent rich with money like the sony, nintendo, or microsoft. and they need the money so they figure people will buy it if they drop the price. but you have a really good point!
