nintendo should make an fps/rpg hybrid.

sorta in the lines of deus ex, except once you have done a mission you have the choice of going to the next one or going to a detailed town the size of vice city.

I don't see what the RPG part would do with it.

I mean if you start the game off with low stats the controls are going to suck when you start playing. If you start the game with good controls at the start then how are you going to make people think that they're actually doing something when they level up?

It sounds like it would be tricky to make, maybe that's why the market doesn't have a lot of them?

I think not. Nintendo should try to get more rpg's to the Wii though.

You mean rather like System Shock 1 and 2.

The rpg elements were the addon bits like the hacking skills.

no actually deus ex was an rpg because you could level up your character in certain ways, and having the choice to say what you wanted to say.

What ways could you level up? DId they change gamesplay drastically that made you feel rewarded when it happened? See that's the tough one for me.

the best they could do is to put some special powers that u only get if u do some quests or buy with points u get when u level up. but then it would sound like starcraft:ghost(already cancelled...) or bioshock

Sounds like a great idea. It should take place a big city. Could be today's world or 30s,40s or future. I'm kinda bored of rpgs that take place in fantasy worlds.
