I just read an article on N4G it should be near the top.
Keep it up haters. It seems to be doing just fine. As soon as the big games come then sales will skyrocket. But keep on hating haters.

I agree, haters gonna hate. The 3DS is awesome and as soon as we get some more awesome games I will be more than excited.
Actually I'm not sure where I read it but I believe it said 3DS sales were on the increase amongst the price drops in Europe. I think this was a different article though. Not that it matters who is first second or third anymore (if it ever did matter to people) since the platforms will likely get the games now as long as they can run them.
All that matters is it prints money. You never know. By the end it could be just as successful as DS was.
nintendo is not in trouble so haters keep hating
it stil selling way more then psp is in america and psp go did worldwide lol and is doing so without the help of a mario or zeldagame

Nintendo said they know the 3DS is in trouble
So Nintendo hates themselves? You have an interesting view but you have every right to express that view

lol , link where nintendo is droping the 3ds or it didnt happen , fact is 3ds is not in trouble its making nintendo profit and it is out selling psp in the usa ! and once it gets itsgames , it will do just what nintendo ds didI never said that Nintendo was dropping it, make sure you read my posts fully before responding, they did say this though...
"Nintendo 3DS has not been selling as expected since the second week [of availability in the United States and Europe], and this is not just in the Japanese market but also in the United States and Europe, where no direct impact from the great earthquake has occurred," Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said during an investor briefing in Tokyo. "Therefore, we recognize that we are in a situation where we need to step up our efforts to further promote the spread of Nintendo 3DS."
Also no, you don't know the history of the DS if you think this follows that pattern at all. The DS was a runaway hit from launch and saved the company, if Nintendo was in the same situation and released the 3DS they'd be out of business by now

As dramatic as ever, I see. Nintendo wasn't going anywhere back when the DS hit- a Nintendo handheld has always been, and will always be, a license to print money.lol , link where nintendo is droping the 3ds or it didnt happen , fact is 3ds is not in trouble its making nintendo profit and it is out selling psp in the usa ! and once it gets itsgames , it will do just what nintendo ds did[QUOTE="mariokart64fan"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]

DS was not a huge 'run away' hit when it hit shelves. It sold well, like the 3DS is, and it met their expectations, but it didn't blow up like you're implying. It gained reputation when better games came out. The DS had a worse launch line up than the 3DS (Mario 64 being the only decent game, and that was a rehash).
Nintendo never said 3DS is in trouble, just that the sales have been disappointing. It's not too surpising they're disappointing considering the lack of games and the fact that pepole are still waiting around for the e-Shop. Things will pick up in June, and probably explode around November.
Hell yeah great news. The Nintendo 3ds is a awesome handheld. I loved it since the day I bought mine. I will be buying every type of game for it too. Such as Mario, zelda, kirby, fifa, wwe, cod. This is perfect for an all round handheld console. Any haters out there can go suck a lemon. :)
200 000 in basically its first month is awful by all standars. Nintendo is going to need more than a magical flute to fix this
Um, while it is outpacing the DS's sales at this point in its life, 194k isn't amazing by any means.
It's not bad, but lets say 200k for 10 months, and 400k for 2 months in a year, that's 2.8 million. That's pretty bad.
I'm sure it will get better, but I think they will hammer home the update features until the fall.
Maybe a price drop just before Mario Kart in October or November, to $199.
And a Red Mario Kart Bundle
Not too bad I guess. It's still the number 1 selling new generation portable system.

Isn't it the only... new gen portable system? lol
Ah, way to be positive! :D Seriously though, I think people are just being dramatic... It's only been out how long and people are claiming it's a doomed system? Seriously? >__>Not too bad I guess. It's still the number 1 selling new generation portable system.

I have done my part, give me the games! At least DoA is coming next week :)Epak_
I'm glad to see someone else is looking forward to this game. I think its better than Tekken personally.
Too expensive stilli mean £230 for a handheld comon?!?ken8659
Its mainly £180 now. I have actually seen one at £160. It could be different in your area though.

While I don't doubt that the DS certainly breathed new life into Nintendo it did not save the company simply because they didn't need saving.[QUOTE="AlmightyDerek"]

Yeah it is. Sure it's winning by default but that's better than nothing. Some people seem to be worried about it, which I think is misplaced. But on the bright side it doesn't have any official competition yet , so any sales it has increases it's lead over PSP2 which is 0 right now.[QUOTE="DustinTheWind"][QUOTE="AlmightyDerek"]

The 3DS will be fine though, as long as it can maintain 3rd party support. That's the most important thing for this handheld IMO.

I know it doesn't always mean victory. The Sega Genesis and XBOX 360 are good examples too. Still for now it's going some breathing room and plenty of time to recover before it's competition comes out at the end of the year (assuming that's when it launches anyway).Hell yeah great news. The Nintendo 3ds is a awesome handheld. I loved it since the day I bought mine.

Very interesting numbers and a very interesting statement from you. Very interesting.
Pretty sure 3.6 million was world wide, while 200k was just NA. Still not great or anything, but just wanted to point that out.A drop from 3.6 million to 200k that quickly is abysmal.
