All you have to do is google "nintendo usb wifi adaptor registration tool" and download the latest version of it. install it and run the registration tool. On the Wii, try to connect to a nintendo wifi adaptor under Internet Options and it will say something like "Grant access." Go back to the registration tool and your Wii's name should be there. click on it and grant access to it. The menu should change to testing connection (on the wii). if you have done it correctly then your connected to the internet :)
you can but i recomend a router. i had alot of problems with the USB thing and as soon as i got the router it worked perfectly. you can get one for the same price too.
