Does anyone know if Nintendo just scans the serial number on the outside, or do they also scan something on the inside? I recently got my DS stolen, and the person who stole it slapped on a new one. =/
Sooo, my screen isnt calibrating correctly and I want to have it repaired. Do you think they scan if from both the inside and outside, or just the outside?
From my understanding there's nothing on the inside to scan. Your post isn't very clear though. Someone stole your DS, slapped on a new serial number, and then you found it?
Either way, DS Lite has been out for less than a year, so Nintendo will fix it as long as it isn't imported.
yes, they stole it, switched the serial number, and then I stole it back. XD I knew it was mines because of some marks I made on it with a pin.
So I guess I'll send it in then. Also, they said they were gonna repair it, not replace. So I told them the hinge is cracked (it is), do you think they'll just glue it on or would they replace the whole thing?
Typically they'll just give you a new or refurbished one. I've never heard of them glueing someone's DS or anything like that.
Also, make sure you call or e-mail them first. They'll let you know if they will replace it or not and send you a packing slip and what not to send it in to them.
