nintendo's next console in a looooong time.

I think the next system will come out in like 3 years. The wii is so underpowered it's not funny, HD is becoming the standard and for some reason Nintendo refuses to put a hard drive on wii. Making DLC almost Impossible.

The next console will be called WIIII

I don't know what the next system will be like, but I would be happy if it was just like the Wii, except it had better system specs. I'm picturing something like the PS3 or 360: there would be a better GPU, CPU, and a hard drive. They could also add Blu-ray support (or HD-DVD...whichever one wins), though I wouldn't find it necessary. It would probably cost around $400.

Also, knowing Nintendo, there would probably be some crazy, new innovation added to the system that changes the way gaming is played, and would later be used by the competition for their own consoles. Don't see what new thing they could add, except maybe a chip that goes into the brain!

I just have a feeling it will have up to par graphics with whatever gen it comes out in and improve on the gameply forged by the Wii......with a hard drive and probably no friend codes for online play.

Close to the same thing but with better graphics, but they are going to refuse to get rid of friend codes and make up some statistic about child abduction related to online gaming.

Actually the Gamecube had been out only 5 years when the Wii came out. Plus the Gamecube was quite a good system for its time. It was more powerful than the PS2, while the Wii has only a small fraction of the power of the PS3. I think the Next Nintendo System will come out in 20010, to be able to compete with the next MS system. The Wii is too underpowered to last five years, and when the other systems drop in price there will be more competition.

i have a fealing nintendo is going to continue to support casual gamers and the graphics are going to still be one generation behind. So the 8 th generation when ps4 and x box whatever come out. the next nintendo will be as powerful as a ps3 or 360. EmperorZeruel

1. The GC lasted 5 years, just like the N64 and the SNES.

2. The GC, even if "not as awesome" (the Wii still has to catch up the GC library, though), could benefit from its power, recieving most multiplats. The Wii will have a hard time depending on exclusives.

So you think the next Ninteno console wont come out until 2016.:lol: The wi''s technology is already outdated. Just imagine how outdated it will be 4-5 years from now.

Im hoping Nintnedo's next console is atleast just a little bit more powerful than PS3 and 360. Because if it was just on par with PS3/360 then it would be a whole generation behind in graphics. The Wii isn't a generation behind in graphics because its more powerful than the original Xbox. I'd settle for a DX10 caliber GPU.

I guarantee Nintendo will want this generation to last it's 5 years. For the first time since the SNES, Nintendo is doing great in the console war. Will they really allienate their 50M users in 2010 by releasing another system? I doubt it.

Well, look at the PS2, it is still going good since when, 2001? The Wii might not be as powerful as the 360 or PS3, but at least it PWNs in gameplay, and that's why it is selling good.

the only possible improvement over the wii i can see is improving the graphical capabilities, or stepping up to virtual reality...or both.
