Yeah but this is a minor detail, I can live with that when I look at the whole picture. The Wii's future is looking bright. 08 will be far superior in quality and contents than 07. The Wii will be for many the only console they need.

Its still coming out December 3rd.... Delayed in Japan till january.

It seems that Nintendo is really making a push to start the new year off solid also so this would only add to it.

There's 50 million DS owners. Even if every single Wii owner owns a DS (which they don't) that leaves 40 million people up for grabs to sell a Wii. This links the two markets. It takes the most powerful system on the market today (DS) and piggybacks the Wii on it.

If you take those 40 million users and only make one quarter of them buy a Wii you've now doubled the amount of Wii owners.

It also opens up the number of Wii owners who will pick up a DS (not that it needs help either)

This is an excellent move and was Nintendo's ace in the hole. Now was the time to spring it.

it is a great idea but the topic made it sound like this is the one thing that will have the wii win the console war

im just saying its not really an original concept

but i am glad nintendo is doing it because the wii needs a few more features

I think you're a perfect example of the sort of person Nintendo hopes to reach with this.

It's not a system seller but it's an extra incentive that if you do own both your ability to use them fully increases.
