I guess Nintendo's strategy resumed would be, to attract new or "casual" gamers(as ambigous as that term is) and then......what? Ok Nintendo seems to be acomplishing that very well so far,but what % of those people is actually buying games for their Wii? thats a fact I'd like to know. It seems to me not very much of them are. Ok you sell your console=step 1 accomplished. you sell games so your console can survive=step 2 ????.I bought madden for Wii the first day it came out. Never bought a Madden before. But i knew that game would bring me limitless joy. I was right. Yeah,it has its flaws, but overall i think its a great game for one simple factor: Multiplayer happy fun fun. Gathered some friends, most of them "casual" gamers, but football whores as me. I was amazed in that they needed as much as one or two games to become as good as me. They all loved the freaking game. Then, I was so dissapointed when i looked at the game's sales. Beleive me, its a darn good game. It doesnt matter how well it did on other consoles, it didnt do half as well as it should have. Just made me think WTF is wrong? Wheres all that 10 million fan support? Are they all dying grandmas? Same thing with MP3. its not selling bad but not great either. I cant beleive wiiplay is still on top of the charts. Its good for nintendo, but for everyone else thats BS man. Look at Halo 3. Thats a unified market. Wii is not. Nintendo is alienating themselves from 3rd party support,ONCE AGAIN. Nintendo, please stop kidding yourselves, youre gonna have to face MS and Sony sooner or later, that is, if you want to keep your always-decreasing true gamer fanbase. All this "family" approach from nintendo is really starting to make me sick. The reality is, that Nintendo simply cant ignore the established gaming community, cuz it seems, theyre the only ones that are gonna buy games anyway, I mean I love my Wii and i am a most satisfied consumer and the games are great. Maybe theres nothing that can be done anyway. The Wii will become a GC eventually (market-speaking ja) with great games from Nintendo, but little 3rd party support, that forces gamers into having to buy another console to suit their needs. Lets wait and see how Smash sells out compared to Halo3. That will give us a clearer picture.

Also about wiiplay, I think its just because of the extra wii controller it came with. Everybody thinks it is a good deal.

Yup, I'm gonna wait and see for a little while before I make any bold proclamations. By the way, after reading that, I feel like my eyes are going to burn out of my skull. ;)

Nintendo doesn't need any marketing strategy until their consoles stop selling like hotcakes.

I think that you'll see Nintendo selling lots of titles after the majority of their big games come out i.e. Smash, Mario Galaxy, MoHH, etc. Also, a lot of third-party developers will hopefully start to understand how to better integrate motion control without making it gimmiky.
