Ninty News says Zelda for 2010

It is just like Nintendo Week an official show, so its safe to assume that they don't get there info from IGN or some guy on the GameFAQ boards. So will people finally accept the fact that the game is coming out this year, or at the very least that the game is infact slated to be the holiday release.

I'll wait at E3 to see gameplay video first. Then, I'll hype the release.

This isn't really anything new, it's just games that they've heard are coming out this year, and they will have heard that Zelda will be out this year, like the rest of us. We all know it's going to be at E3, and then hopefully get a release around November time, but there hasn't been any sort of official confirmation regarding it's release date, and this video certainly does not count as confirmation.

They haven't even shown a new zelda yet. There aint no way it's coming out in 2010. Since when has nintendo everreleased a game within 6 months of being shown? Never. When they show it at e3 (middle of june) there is now way it will be out by xmas. If you see the game playable on the floor at e3 then maybe it'll be out by xmas but I highly doubt it. Don't get your hopes up kiddies.

Totally different situation there, the GC was a dead platform. Twilight Princess would have been wasted on it. If the GC was in the Wii's position, Twilight Princess would have come out in 2005. Twilight Princess was held back, simply to give the Wii launch a killer app. The Wii is alive and thriving and people have been waiting and thristing for Zelda, there is no reason to hold it back.

Ever heard of these games called Excitebot and Punch Out or even better yet a game that Nintendo hinged its entire holiday success on, NSMB Wii? Which was infact shown a month LATER than what Zelda would be shown. E3 was in July last year and its in June this year. Just because they didn't show a trailer 3 years before the game comes out, doesn't mean they just started working on it last week.

You see, this is curious to me, coz people act like the 2004 reveal with a late 2006 release was so long, and yes it was but not nearly as long as other titles this gen

KZ2, RE5, GT5, MGS4 all shown off in 2005 and not released til 2008, 2009, 2010. (not to be off topic, i'm comparing the Twilight Princess announcement timing and the gap between that and its actual retail release)

I don't recall Nintendo ever delaying Ocarina, MM, or WW after they finally set release dates, even Minish Cap, PH, ST all stuck with their first dates

TP was just a smart business move to delay to launch with their new console

I'm so hyped for this game it's not even funny...

It's good to hear that they wish to release it this year, but I wouldn't mind a delay until 2011. What I mean is, I want Nintendo to work on that game until they think it is perfect. I don't want an early release when the game could have had work still done to it. Nintendo just needs to take their time with this.
