According to the above post (quoting Edge Magazine), Suda is done making NMH gameson the Wii (after NMH2) because "we've done everything we can with it now." If that's allSuda can do on the Wii, he's not that talented.

Suda 51 is full of himself.

He never wanted to be on the Wii in the first place

He was forced to make it for the Wii, that's why I think the game didn't come out right. It was a halfhearted effort so he didn't care about making it perfect

Kinda like when you're forced to clean your room you stick everything under the bed or in the closet.

Jaysonguy

"Originally, I'd wanted to make this game for Xbox 360, actually. [Marvelous Interactive boss] Wada-san had information about the new Wii and how the new controller would work before it came out, so that's why he thought I should produce the game on that format. (Doesn't seem "forced" to me.)

"At the time, I didn't really understand why, but after seeing and understanding how it works,I think it was a good choice and the controller works really well with the game."

Explain how he's done everything he can? Motion Plus? Hasn't done it. Decent graphics? Not that either. At least passable voice acting? Not even close. Fun? If your idea of fun is torture, I guess. Then factor in his desire to punish the people who buy his and I fail to understand why people buy his garbage (literally -- he says so himself).

NMH was overrated in the first place. The game was ok, but it was far from fantastic. I could honestly care less. I like Suda's concepts, and his art team, but that's about it.

I could honestly care less if he never does anything else for the Wii again, or not.

For some reason, I think he'll try to "explain" what he was actually trying to say and tell us that he won't leave the Wii.

If he doesn't, well... Good luck trying to sell a crazy cel-shaded game to a bunch of dorks who won't play anything that isn't a brown FPS.

Jason's got a point. Just because a game is cel-shaded doesn't mean it won't sell well on the other consoles.

I just don't think NMH would have become such a cult classic game on any other system. No offense to the players of other systems, but I think that game's success required a group of players that liked a genre of games wider than the FPS. But this is my opinion.

Basically what is being said is that Wii owners don't buy it enough so they may try thier luck on another console. If NMH2 sales really well, I doubt it will go anywhere. However if it sales like the first one did, then this may be the end of NMH on the Wii and can you blame them, you people don't buy games that aren't from an established IP no matter how good they are. Though I don't really think NMH will do that well on the PS3 or 360 either, simply because it has to compete with things like God of War and Ninja Gaiden.

NMH is simply a cult game. Its not mainstream and Suda can't expect it to be. And frankly wasn't NMH basically making fun of games and gamers characterisic of the Xbox 360 and PS3?

Eh, not really. In fact I think these 'dorks' are much more receptive towards games like these, unlike grandma Sally or aunt Gracie.

This is why I think the game will flop I'm not hoping it will...wait a minute I hope it will! not trying to be a jerk but people said that he left capcom because they were not going to support the wii as much as he liked....does this not make a hypocrite? NMH was a great game and I already pre-ordered NMH2. Though I am disappointed by Suda

I think even if he puts NMH on other platforms it won't sell well, its a pretty niche game - though it'll expand the fanbase of NMH and thats always a good thing. The more Suda51 gets noticed by more people the better.

This news making me sad.

Now every Wii fanboy will hate Suda 51 and his games even if he is one of the few devs that actually tries to do something new on the Wii.

Honestly I loved NMH and I think it will be missed as a Wii franchise for the hardcore. But the fact is despite that it is a good, hardcore, third party game most hardcore gamers who own PS360's won't pick it up since it would hurt their Gamer Cred to admit to playing a game on the Wii. I mean considering just how good, and how critiacally recieved this game is, despite that most hardcores have a Wii SOMEWHERE in their house, and despite you can pick this game up for less than $20, it has barely sold 250K. That is really sad, in fact it should be an embarassing fact to Wii only/centric hardcore gamers. There has to be more than 250K of us.

I think the NMH franchise is awesome, and should be a minimum 1.5-2 Mill seller even on Wii. I don't blame him for considering to take the game onto other consoles, but I personally don't think it will translate as well. It will be an interesting exercise to see if in 2012 NMH3 comes out for 360 or PS3 if it sells any better. If it does not, well that means it was just a niche game all along.
